Yes it's an official MPerformance upgrade but only for 7.14 and later CP575 builds with the updated exhaust manifold, revised wastegates, and MEVD172H DME's.

Didn't know there was an updated exhaust manifold. Has it been changed to improve flow?

The Cyl 5-8 exhaust manifold was revised to accommodate longer actuator arms that fully open the wastegates. The speculation that electronic wastegates were added was incorrect. They've always been and continue to be electro-pneumatic.

There have been a number of updates over the course of S63TU production in addition to those:

- Revised Fuel Supply with inward opening metering valves and CVO (closed valve operation)

- Modified Cylinder Head with Delphi Coil-packs (only in certain markets and build dates; unmodified CH with Bosch Coils is still in production)

- Revised Turbochargers

Do you know if the revised turbos have become capable of supporting more power over time?

Any changes regarding wheel fitment?

No clue on the turbos...

I PM'd you some stuff a while back. Decided to just do a few designs with "optimal" specs. UDM and want them under 8kg. So far 10 split spoke is winning the mass challenge.

That's a good looking design! I swear I didn't get any info from you about measurements, I remember there were some issues with you sending PMs from one of your devices, can you please check and send again? Thanks!

I remember reading someone's post on this though, the 600hp doesn't actually make it go faster than the 575hp version. Someone dig it up?

I have also purchased and installed this software (needs FSC) on my 2014 M6 DCT CP575. Here is my link:

http://www.6post.com/forums/showthre...2#post19795232

Generally My butt dyno cannot tell the difference between the old 575HP and the new 600HP . My Awron DGA display had max value 717NM and 589HP at old software and 731NM and 591 or 592HP (i cannot remember) whatever it means.

The reason i dont like it and will get back to 575HP factory software is:
if you put the tranny in manual mode and you heading toward to the rev limit from something 6500RPM, the ECU starts to retard the engine and you can really feel it. When i first tested my car, i was shocked, how the engine was retarded, i didnt have a clue what was it. Maybe this is for protect the tranny, etc. Strange.

Nope nothing.

Actually this is just an offer for those who has EWG turbochargers and the 575HP version of the competition package. This will "just" increase the boost slightly which provides the extra ponies and torque.

EWG turbos: 2014/07 ->
ECU is also changed to MEVD17.2.H (which controls EWG)
So actually the engine is basically the same, but as mentions already in this thread, other changes are made, but this does not increase or decrease power!

No S63TU (including the TU2) have fully electronic wastegates installed. They have been and continue to be electro-pneumatic. This EWG rumor started due to a poor translation. The mechanical portions of the integral wastegates did change and required a redesign of the Cyl 5-8 exhaust manifold to provide more space for the actuator arms and allow the wastegates to fully open and close. Additionally, the fuel delivery system was modified, including new injectors, to support CVO (cylinder deactivation) for EU6 emissions regulations. MEVD17.2.8 is not able to support this but 17.2.H does. This is part of the reason why CP600 cars appear to run rich AFR compared to earlier cars to maintain exhaust gas scavenging and support the increase boost pressure. This isn't enough to give overrun pop in natural aspirated mode to protect the wastegate flaps. CP600 taps into the thermodynamic reserves to run .2psi additional boost pressure while maintaining 2.5bar Max MAP and isn't as "leaky" as std or CP575 cars. I've been told by insiders that the power figures for BMW gasoline turbo motors is at ISA +40c, 80% humidity, and 30.50inhg. Anything below that is extra up to 2.5bar MAP and conditions above result in limp mode due to the Turbine Temp Limits.

I have been researching which pre-owned M6GC I am going to purchase . One is a 8/2014 build date and one is 12/13. I am very confused on which to buy after reading this thread... Is the 600HP just something to say you have or is it really worth having the 25extra HP???

I would go for the one with more features and the one with your preference on interior and paint as the power can be purchased very easily (tune and/or JB4 + BCM).

Yes, but tune and/or JB4 + BCM will void the warranty...

Personally, I'd go with the 8/14 car if it has the right specs. As far as the upgrade, it could be something you use as a negotiating tool to close the deal. If you want more than it provides, it doesn't prevent you from other aftermarket options.
