Which spacer to 305/30/20 - F13 M6

Hello everybody,

Can you pls tell me, which spacer i can drive with the M343 rims on a F13 M6?
I have 25/25mm lowering springs.
I want to change the stock 295 with a 305 tire in the rear.
But which spacer will fit? 10mm ?

Thanks and sorry for my bad english!

Best regards from Germany 👍

5 mm spacer put you wheel where it was with 295.
with 305 the wheel is so close to fender so I'm not sure if 10 mm is fit

Why is the wheel with 5mm spacer there, where it was with 295? Because the 295 is smaler than the 305.

I want spacers, because the front wheels are to much inside. But i can only put spaces in the front, when i put spacers also in the rear. It's not allowed to put spacers only on the front wheels...

305 is 10 mm wider than 295. Half of this (5 mm) sits inside and the other half outside. It means your wheel will sit 5 mm closer to suspension and 5 mm closer to fender. Adding the 5 mm spacer will offset inside to where it was with 295; however will add another 5 mm to outside (fender side); so the total of 10 mm will sit outside... I had 305 on rear with no rubbing however I had no spacer and no lowering

Ok, thanks a lot.

Is it worth to put 305?
Or should i continue with 295?

Is the difference big between 305 & 295 for traction?

I would say: YOU MUST PUT 305 PERIOD
Trust me you will enjoy the 305 tire. The traction is MUCH better. The look (of wider tire) is fantastic and you feel more confidence. The only downside is that it adds a little understeer and car is not as nimble as it is now in cornering but who cares? You are not gonna track your car, are you?
I did't add spacer but I have a feeling even with 5 mm spacer it looks more aggressive... go for it 100%

If you can go wider, go wider. More tire = more traction.

As I said 305 is aggressive by itself. I believe 5 mm is enough.
I'm sure I have some pictures from mine. I need to find them and then will post here to see how it looks without spacer...

If I were you, I would go with 305/30/20 on rear and 275/35/20 on front with no space or maximum 5 mm spacer all around.

I'm with M6, just run rear spacers if anything and wider tires up front and rear. If it rubs just remove the rear spacers. Any time I have run spacers on the front I notice a new shake or vibration in the steering wheel.

Thanks for this info.
I will order 10mm spacers and hope it will fit on the rear 305 wheels.

Today i put the lowring springs 25/25mm.
Looks great.
And i have ordered 305/30/20 PSS tires.

Bit know I'm not sure, if 10mm spacers will fit arround with 305 :-/
Maybe i order better 5mm spacers for front & rear.

Save your money and listen to what people on here say, we have something you don't, experience. You will get a vibration in the steering wheel from 5mm spacers as they are not hubcentric. 10mm will fit the rear even with the 305's, but don't buy anything cheap made, get BMS or Macht Shnell type spacers.

You mean i can put 10mm front & rear wit 265 + 305.
Or only in the rear, because of the vibration in the steering wheel, if i put spacers in the front?

Every time i run spacers on the front of any car something does not feel right at higher speeds on smooth roads. I run 15mm on the rear with the 295's, so 305's with 10mm rear would work, my car is not lowered.

10mm spacers in the front and rear will work just fine with 265 & 305 tires. You will not get a vibration if you purchase quality hubcentric spacers. I currently have Macht Schnell 12mm up front and 10mm in the rear and am lowered on the KW HAS kit. I have zero issues with any vibrations.

Just so everyone knows, you cannot run anything less than 15mm spacers front on the GC, the hubs stick out too far for anything less.

Not true, I'm running 10mm front 10mm rear. There may have been some updates to 2016 models as my X6 has this issue. 2015 X6 does not have the longer hub that sticks out.
It is however true that anything less than 10mm is not hubcentric and will cause vibrations.
