Coding Convertible

Does anyone know the correct code to allow the convertible top to function from the keyfob? I cannot locate this code (if it exists, which i believe it does) for the life of me!

Thanks!

This is what you want. Little module that allows you to open and close the top among other things. It even pushes the range with the keyfob out to the same as the lock / unlock function. In other words it removes the US lawyer safeties.

works great!

I dont think you can code anything with the top other than MAYBE reversing the switch, but I cant remember.

Hey Murph, thanks for that link. I have seen people advertise the ability to code this on the F12 but cannot locate the actual code.

Have you installed that module you referred to above? Find it cheaper anywhere?

I had the module installed along with a bunch of other small aftermarket stuff when I first got my car. Installer said it was a snap to install. Of course by the time I got my car back from him and BMW to fix some warranty issues it was too cold up here to use it.

I have not seen any coding to do what you are trying to do. There are a couple of resources though.
Website that offers coding services: codemycar.com

It should be in JBBF or CAS. I will look later to see if anything sticks out.

What are you trying to code exactly? My F12 remote operates top up/down by default. As for door-locks/unlock distance I did not realize one had more range than the other...

What key(s) on the remote unit are you using or holding down to have the convertible top open and close?
