I just got one. On a run it can do 28 to 30 mpg. That's cruise.
My overall average is 20. Heavy right foot there is no point in worrying about mpg. For what it is the fuel consumption on a steady run is good. Especially compared to e60 m5 Above are UK mpg figures ie not US gallon |

I don't use mine day to day but from a fuel POV it's very good with just over 20mpg average. Servicing is likely to be included with a service pack so no starter although I pay a good local garage to do interim oil changes as 20k intervals is ridiculasly long!
Consumables such as pads etc are eye watering from BMW but they do take the Royal piss with prices. Just buy from Eurocarparts and fit yrself or get a good local garage to do it. So far there have been no horror stories about these at all and a few 130k plus M5s on eBay which seem to run fine. It's a big car though and the U.K. Is shyte for parking so look out for little dents. |

I drove from Los Angeles to Las Vegas in one full tank. I think average was about 23 mpg. I drove at speed limits because I've gotten multiple 100+ mph tickets going to vegas in the past and it was not fun.
I think the M6 can be quite fuel efficient if you'd like it to, but more often than not your foot will not agree. |

Over 20mpg highway, open road. 25plus mpg if I'm cruising under 75mph. Never seen under 18mph going LA-Vegas or back, usually going way over 75mph.

918 Litres of V Power has got me 3150 miles. (£1046 / $1500)
So works out at 15.6 MPG since I bought the car. Mix of town, motorway and country lanes. Cruising at 100 MPH, on my private road, it shows JUST about 20 MPG average If I am just in town it will show 10/11 MPG that's it.

You may want to get that custom made to be more aerodynamic or else you will need 2 in tow and be down to 5 mpg ... LOL
