Cratches on navigation screen

I have several cratches on my navigation screen which make it nearly impossible to look onto it with open roof and sun...you do not see the map properly...first owner obviously used wrong cleaning methods...

Anybody here who had the same and get that sorted?

I am thinking about a thin plastic foil like its used for mobiles...with anti reflexion (right word? i am german...) on it...should help?

Thanks for your support!

Are you sure they're scratches? I thought I had a scratch once and eventually was able to rub it off with a damp microfiber cloth (need some pressure) and then buffed off the water marks. It's safe to use an amonia/alcohol free glass cleaner like Stoner or eyeglass lens wipes.

It seams that the upper layer (for avoiding reflexion of sunlight) is off in several areas....my dealer already told me that I have to buy a complete new screen!

But thanks for your proposal, will try again tonight!

Had already the same with my old M3E46 and the navigation screen...if you rub too much the thin layer is gone....

I had the same issue, scratches from where I rubbed the screen too hard with a cloth towel. I had a 2012 GT Mustang that I cleaned the same way and never had a scratch on the navi screen with it. BMW wanted $2300 to replace the screen. I ended up ordering a Lexerd screen protector which masked the scratches very well. They have 2 options, clear and anti-glare and its custom cut for the 640/650 screen.

Thanks a lot! That is exactly was I was looking for!

Gonna order it immediately, hope that scratches can not be seen that much afterwards...

The anti-glare one should help with masking the scratches.

Im telling you the screen protector I ordered covered them up. I wish I had taken before pictures so you could see the before and after but I had scratches all over the screen from where I rubbed too hard with a damp cloth towel. The protector didn't fix them but they are blended and you can't see them anymore. The only other alternative I was given was to buy a new screen from BMW.
