My shopping/leasing list of cars I'd consider after M6 would be:
Turbo S
i8
R8
570s - you can lease it for $2200/month
Huracan
458/488
AMG GTS.

None of those are clearly practical by any stretch, but, I guess, practicality is the last thing on the mind of the person considering any of those.
Turbo S and i8 are the only ones on the list with rear seats, so at least you could fit two small kids...

Yes, you can lease a 570s for $2200/month.

What's the point of an i8? It's unlike anything else short of 918, LaFerrari, or P1. Other than that it's no big deal...

For sure i8 is not in my list or if it is, the last choice.
I believe at 180k price point 570s is the top one ... at least for me

i8 has the coolness factor that other BMWs don't really have since it's so different from the rest of the crowd. Is it significantly better than M6/5/4/3. In certain areas yes, but overall not so much. Would an i8 be a head turner? Yes. Is it faster or handle better than M cars? No.

It's just a cool car with new tech that other bimmers don't have. I like it. Is it at the top of my list? Maybe not. But I do frequently take my kids to school and pick them up as well. The two seater, for me, wouldn't work well currently. Once kids grow up and move out maybe a two seater cabrio would be perfect. Who knows?

The car needs to be chosen based as much on the needs as much as on the desires of the owner.

I think i8 is G A Y, would never get it. 570s on another hand would be a little beast I would love to own
