What correction factor was used?
Do these cars really run stoichiometric at torque peak!?!? That can't be right. Where was the wide band placed? The difference between a dyno jet and a mustang dyno would be more than 20-25hp in a mid 500 whp car. What fuel was used? Where there any other cars that were dyno'ed the same day (or any time for that matter) that might be used as a reference to "calibrate" this particular dyno/dyno settings? The drive train losses quoted in this thread are way off. The best number to use as a guess for the M6 stock would be 15%. The MAHA however indicated drive train losses of 19% on a stock M5. |

A M6 GC was dynoed on this same dyno it has Meisterschaft exhaust and DP it hit 542. This same car dyno'ed on this same dyno when it was stock in the low 520's range. My car is completely stock except the charcoal filters are removed, as stated it hit 545 whp and 496 wheel lb/ft Fuel - 91 Octane from the pump in California at the 76 station

There are a lot of factors to be taken in consideration when comparing dyno charts.
Were they run the same day/time back to back. Outside temps. Tire/rim sizes. Vehicle weight/length. Where are they getting their input sensor readings from. It can go on... I have been to multiple dyno sessions held by performance shops and have witnessed the same year/model cars with the exact same mods and all produce different readings. It is always nice to know what your car is putting down but there are always discrepancy's. I am no dyno expert but we always hope that the facility that is operating the dyno knows what they are doing right ? lol Regardless, his M6 still put down impressive numbers ! |

Eurokar is correct. I own the GC that put down identical numbers after 8500 was spent on GTHaus full setup with catless DP. I am happy for your numbers but slightly jealous that these were obtained stock when I have just about modded my car to the max. Also, as in one of my earlier posts, I ran a beta tuen from OE tuning and actually dropped 40 HP on the floor!
Since that devastating day, I went back to the BMS piggy back and put some intakes on. BTW, anyone considering intakes should seriously consider AFE. They are a local SoCal Company based out of Corona. (support your local shops!) They claim better numbers then Gruppe M and at a much lower price point. Im not sure if Erik over at Authohaus has posted the pics of that install yet, but they are just as pretty under the hood. I have ran a turn around Vegas trip since the addition of BMS and AFE intakes so Erik is scheduling a DYNO sometime next week. Our major concern is sensor placement in this beast of a GTHaus exhaust, so we are awaiting a response. Tune should be adapted and the car feels much quicker and is pulling much harder. I will post DYNO from same Cunningham Motorsports when complete. Congrats LSM...and for those of you in SoCal, Erik over at Authohaus Frankfurt is the ONLY mechanic for BMW junkies!!!!! |

I dyno'ed my car, I posted it...I don't hear any noise...It is what it is. Not claiming anything else. Posted for fellow members..

I find it interesting how on some forums a comment is viewed as an attack until proven otherwise. It really holds the knowledge base back. Thank you for posting your dyno results. |

Yes, Impressive numbers.. especially if it's on California 91 octane ethanol blend fuel! There should be a correction factor for that!

I've heard recently that there are multiple posts on other forums in regards for dyno results with these engines.
Something along the lines that the vehicles computers are over compensating and actually pulling back on the car rather then getting the full potential when being ran on a dyno. Has anyone else heard this ? |

I've never seen data logs to compare timing advance, boost etc for a street pull vs a dyno pull. Someone like Shiv would know. |
