Got my new car last week and have just noticed that the RH tailpipe is completely clean, whereas the LH shows signs of moderate usage. Also noticed that immediately after a run of 30 miles the the RH tailpipe is completely cold.
Still running-in and haven't exceeded 3k RPM so I'm guessing that it's a split system and that the other half only cuts in above a certain RPM - can anyone confirm this?

Correct ... It also depends whether the car is warm or not yet

Thanks for confirming; it's been up to normal operating temperature but I'm keeping the RPM below 3k for the time being so that's probably why it hasn't opened up yet.
Looking forward to giving it some serious right foot after the run-in period.
