M6 wheels fit 650 MSport?

Anyone know or tried to fit 2015 M6 wheels on a 2015 650 with MSport package with success? And if yes, was the car lowered and any rubbing issues?

Front: 265/35R20 vs 245/35R20
Rear: 295/30R20 vs 275/30R20

Only wheels from M5...rear m6 wheels are too wide.

I checked the wheels for the M5 and they are the same as M6 with 295/30R20 in the rear.

You're talking about tire size, not wheels with numbers like 295/30R20. The M6 wheels have a different offset and will not fit a normal 6 series, given the offset, width and tire size combined. As I understand it, the M5 wheel offset (with it's wider tire) will allow fitment to the normal 6 series without issue. Whether or not you have M-sport is irrelevant.

Thanks for the clarification. So just need the wheel offset for the M5 wheels. Was looking at other wheel options than the OEM so that helps a lot. Awesome!

Front wheel you will need 11mm additional space on the inside and extra 15mm on the outside of the wheel compared to your current wheel.

The rear wheels will stick out an additional 44mm vs your current wheel.

M5 wheels
Front wheel: 9JX20 ET:32
Rear wheel: 10JX20 ET:34


Front wheel you will need 5mm additional space on the inside and extra 7mm on the outside of the wheel compared to your current wheel.

So it appears as if the M6 rear wheels wont fit as it needs much much more clearance. Honestly I don't know how much extra space you have on the rear so you may want to measure it to double check.
The rear wheels will stick out an additional 23mm vs your current wheel.

Those M5 wheels will fit, I am running a 20x10 rear with a 40mm offset and I still have room and the car is lowered plus I am running some big tires (285/35/20 RS-3's). If you lower the car you might rub here and there but otherwise you should be fine.

I have M5 wheels on my 640xd M sport..and fits perfect..no issues..no spacers.

what tyre sizes do you have on your M5 343M wheels? Is the ride quality or handling any different? Any issues with smaller tyres over stock? Just wondering if you get any rubbing at all - i.e. over speed bumps or at full lock?

Factory fitment..245 front,275 rear..perfect fitment and look!

On page 2,find thread san marino blue 640 xd individual..and you will se final result.

2) have you got any new pics from the rear? I've seen one of yours but couldn't see the tyre clearly being dark under the car.

I'm sure with M5 setup (265 front and 295 rear) your car looks much more aggressive. Maybe you can give it a try when your current tires are worn out...

Didn't think 265 works for the front - will rub against the inside and it's 285 max on the rear with the M5 343..

Well with almost the same offset (rim 373 vs 343) the 265 tire is standing 10 mm out inside/outside and for sure any car have 10 mm gap between the inside of wheel and suspension as well as outside of wheels and fenders...so basically no issue.
As far as rear tire since 343 has already 10mm less offset ( 34mm vs 44mm) so basically it sticks out 10mm that will offset the 10 mm wider tire (inside) however the wheels stand out about 20 mm that is ok with rear fenders of 6er... as I said they look more aggressive...

Thanks so based on the above, it seems that the stock tyres from the M5 343M is doable. But I'm wondering why some of the guys didn't do this? Deda (275 rear)/Downfourit (went 285 rear).

I was told by BMW re the M5 343M wheels (with the stock tyre) that "the front wheel will be 6mm closer to the shock absorber and stick out 8mm further than the current wheel (373M). The rear will be 3mm closer to the shock absorber and stick out 23mm further than the current wheel. Personally I think the rear wheels will be sticking out too far"

Here's what happened when they tried to put 433M (rear right view). I understand its a different offset to the M5 343M but BMW said it would stick out the same amount!

I have no idea why people install M5 343M but not 265/295... maybe they want to use their stock tires and save $1500+
As far as what BMW told you here is the difference when you go from 245/35/20 , 275/30/20 of rims 373 to 265/35/20 and 295/30/20 343M

Front:
Suspension clearance:
Package 2 is 8 mm (0.3'') closer to suspension/brakes components. Acceptable for most cars.

Fenders clearance:
Package 2 will stick out 12 mm (0.5'') farther. Acceptable for most cars.


Rear:
Suspension clearance:
The same.

Fenders clearance:
Package 2 will stick out 20 mm (0.8'') farther. Make sure that you have enough room under the fender. If not, consider narrower tires or higher offset.

As far as rims 433, they have 19mm offset (rear) so they already stick out 15 mm compare to 343M (34-19) and 25mm compare to 373 (44-19). 343M is not the same as picture you posted even if BMW told you it's the same...

Hi James,

Any reason for going 245 on the front instead of 255 like the others have been saying?

I know the handling is fine but hows the road bumps in general? Or Speed bumps if you have them there?

Thinking of the same but wondering also if lowering would cause any issues with this tyre setup.

i got stock tire RFT,so i use that, and 373M RIMS for winter setup..thats reason why i have 245/275 setup.

Dont worry for,just go for 343M..it fits perfectly.

Car handles amazing,however i suggest that you go for Michelin PSS..I use Michelin Pilot alpin sport 4 non rft for winter setup and thats perfect.

Yes,i will go for 255/285 as soon as possible...with Michelin PSS(PILOT SUPER SPORT) NON RFT!!!

Thanks Deda. I'm at the cusp of buying these.

I don't want to change winter/summer so is the Michelin PSS an all rounder as I'm in the UK?

How about ride quality - do you fee bumps and/or is it harsher on speed bumps?

Also, would lowering on a set of 255 front and 285 rear cause it to rub anywhere?

Also, why don't you go for 295 on rear instead? Looks like Palomequet has done that so wondering why you're sticking with 285?
