Valentine. Don't have any experience with the 9500, but in testing, both appear to be good sets.

Laser Interceptor Quad HD

Best jammer out there.

Passport Max or V1 are both great detectors.

Thanks man. What I love about the 9500ci is it gets you all the goodies (radar detection, laser shifting, speed and redlight camera alerts) in a package that looks like OEM equipment. I remember when I first installed it my wife didn't notice it in the car for a while until she started noticing the alerts. Then she saw the display mounted on my rear view and put two and two together. It's very stealthy and works like a charm.

Bel STiR+ for Radar
ALPriority w/ 3 front heads and 2 rear heads for jamming

The Bel STiR+ is the same as the 9500 however I wanted something other than what Passport provided for jamming. That is why I went with ALPriority for jamming.

i'm running the ESCORT passport max .... hard wired.... works great saved me BIG TIME on Route 80 ... cop was out of his car shooting radar by keeping the radar off and switching it on as soon as he saw cars coming... it actually picked it up a while before i got to him and gave me time to slow down ... i must have been feeling like Speedy Gonzales that day just cruising between 95-100

I got nabbed once by radar because he hunted me down and "flipped on" radar when he had me in sight -- it was too late at that point.

I've been layered 3 times in 9 months and never been pulled over. I always drive faster than the speed limit probably because these cars have a tendency to make you do that.

A quality hard wire install/setup is going to run you $4-5k (pretty sure I spent $3k on just hardware). You might get away cheaper but you kinda get what you pay for.

Btw... I have not done this yet but have been wanting to do it. This place will mount the display inside your rear view mirror.

I hate wires, so I have been using the Escort Solo S3 (2 AA batteries last for 6 to 8 months with daily use). It's mounted on a Blendmount under the rear view mirror. Ran it side by side with the more expensive wired Escorts and they both went off the same time and works equally well. Happy with it and it paid for itself many time over also the Blendmount makes it a little stealth looking and hard to see from the outside. Thanks.

I'm running an Escort Redline with the Smart/Escort Live Bluetooth cord. It connects to the Escort Live App and gives me heads up on tons of alerts and fuzz sitting down the road. It paid for itself several times just these past few days.

The Redline has overall better sensitivity and the Smart/Escort Live App just adds to that confidence.

Own the escort 9500 ci, k40 and Valentine units

I would use the 9500 ci escort only with different laser jammers. Escorts jammers give too many false positives.
If you are looking for a built in custom install I currently run K40 detectors and jammers.
Had the escort 9500 ci in the M3 with the display in the rear view mirror.
I like the K40 better
Also have a valentine with hard wire in the truck. Good unit if you shut off all bands except the Ka band.

That looks so sick! I have to take my car back to the audio shop for some work and I think when it's there I am going to send off my mirror to have this done. The way you did it is exactly like I want. It's so stealth!

Thanks Big B. I wanted a very clean factory look. They actually send you the new mirror and have you send your old one back after install as a core.

Seems a member did an extensive review of the Valentine 1 Vs. 9500ci. Looks like the 9500ci came out on top because the V1 had lots of false positives. Seeing as how the Bel Stir is virtually the same as the 9500ci I'd say these are the best choices for a stealth, wireless, custom installed radar/laser protection.
