Is anyone concerned the re-badging of the 6 series will devalue current 6's in resale

With the Re-badging and how important badges are with BMW. in another couple years, the existing coupe/GC won't be listed as a 6, with a much cheaper GT replacing it. Any thoughts on how will this affect the resale of the current cars? Any series for 6-series will be people looking for the GT with an expectation of the lower price point. Will the 650 GC's hold their value as before?

I'm wondering if it means that used GCs become more valuable ...

Are there examples of other cars(non-exotic) that became more valuable after being discontinued?

I just feel like with the new 6-series GT's coming out, the perception of the 6 Badge will be in the price point of a 5GT. 6 used to be a more unique club, now i am worried it will be like the 4 is to the 3.

Perhaps not actually go up in value, but hold value better given the good looks and coming scarcity.

Supply and demand may work in our favor as the supply of a very desirable car diminishes.

I don't think it will make any difference. 6er is one of the worst.
, if not the worst depreciating model in the BMW lineup. They will have hit the bottom of the depreciation curve way before the model discontinuation has any impact at all.
