I have seen tanzanite blue in a few other pictures. I think that if your okay with paying the extra price, then its the one to go with.

BTW whats your interior color?

I've already confirmed the order a couple of weeks ago, but i still have time to change, so i was just wondering, but the higher chance is to stick with TB, the interior is vermillion red with piano black, theres a post called my 2014 order you can check my options there

You really can't go wrong with a BMW Individual color. For the extra dollars, you get the extra attention at the factory for a flawless finish. The difference is apparent. Download the BMW Individual app for more in-depth info if you have not already done so.

Both are stunning and unique. Is it really worth the additional cost? Only you can answer that. At this price, what's another $2k. I think the exclusivity of it being Individual is worth something. Most people on the street probably couldn't tell the difference between the two, let alone know that one's an Individual. That being said, I don't think any of us here bought these cars for the admiring looks from the average Joe - it is either purely for ourselves and/or for admiring looks from friends, colleagues, etc.

There are some pics in one of my videos from the 2-day M School of a San Marino Blue M6. Check out my YouTube channel (link's in my signature). I would post the direct link, but I'm typing this on my phone.

I disagree with anyone that says Tanzanite is better.

Tanzanite is first of all more common because it is available on non M models. Second it looks more like other ordinary blues - notable DSB.

The San Marino blue is an M6 Exclusive color. It's more rare, it's more sporty looking, and it's got more of a glow about it. It's distinctive.

I would choose San Marino over Tanzanite even if they were the same price.

Actually Tanzanite Blue isn't a common color I think you are mistaken it for Deep Sea Blue.

Also San Marino isn't exclusive to the M6 since you can get on the M5 and I don't think any color is exclusive since you can have whatever color you want as long as you you have the money to pay since I saw an M5 with Frozen Bronze and that color is supposed to be " exclusive to the Gran Coupe".

San Marino is exclusive to the M6 in the sense that on any other car you have to pay $5500 for a Custom order Individual paint finish to get San Marino blue.

Tanzanite on the other hand is available as a Priority 1 Individual finish (priority 1 meaning it costs extra but is not custom order and can be found on dealer lots) on both the 6 series and the 3 series (outside the US). Since the 3 series is a mass market car there are a lot of Tanzanite F30s. Just google tanzanite f30.

BTW if you have a pic of an Individual M5 with San Marino I'd love to see it since I may be ordering the M6GC in San Marino.

San merino blue is an extreme color for me ,i would never go with it, i like light navy blues , which is why i was torn between these two, but i stuck with TB since its rarer and a special color
Im just afraid that the dark color will kill of the M package cuts!

TB looks great with the M package u should not worry, i would worry if i chose Ruby Black or Citrine Black or any degree of black, brown, or dark grey

What do you mean by killing M-package cuts? Could you elaborate?

I think theM package looks pretty sharp with the Carbon Black on my car. I agree it's more subdued than white or Imola, but the styling details are still very noticeable.

I have Tanzanite blue on my F31. It is without doubt a more special color than San Merino and Deep Sea blue. The color varies a lot with light, and in sunlight it is stunning.

If I was going for a special blue I would either get santorini blue, Laguna seca blue or Atlantis blue... In that order of preference.

Southern6er: i hope it'll show like u say
Ducatiboy: is it darker than deep sea?
Dreamspeed: im looking for navy blue not actual blue

Today i saw midnight blue ( the new color on the x6)
Looked pretty good but thought tanzanite would look better since its indv( im guessing it should be that special)
