For all F12/13 owners out there with the extra wide doors, don't you hate it when we get boxed in by the car next to us and have to struggle to get in without hurting yourself or damaging the paintwork? Luckily for us, there is this function called COMFORT ENTRY (not to be confused with Comfort Access) that I find most helpful in such situations, and also pretty cool by itself. This function can be enabled under Door Locks in your iDrive. See attached pics. Once set to Comfort Entry, the function is activated by DOUBLE-CLICKING the Door Open button on your key fob. When you pull the door handle, the frameless window will be automatically lowered half-way to allow easy (comfort) entry into the vehicle. Once you close the door, the window will automatically raise to its closed position. This isn't a new function. I had this in my previous E92 Coupe. For some reason, it is not explicitly documented in the F12/13 Owners' Manual. Thought I should share this with you folks who may not have discovered this yet. |

I don't think we get this option in the U.S. market.

Here in Canada and the US there are no issues with tight parking conditions. Maybe that's why it's not available??? We don't ever use the mirror folding option either
How would a "larger" person cope with those narrow restrictions abroad?? Must be near impossible?? |
