Ceramic Controls - luxury you can touch whenever you are in the car (instead of cheap plastic)

Head-up display - no more taking your eyes off the road when driving, night or day (unless you want to)

Shadow line trim - dude, it's an alpine white car. You NEED the contrast shadow line

Contrast stitching - this was invented for this car and transforms it from a BMW to a luxury BMW (because you can)

Instrument panel with leather - See Contrast Stitching. (Bonus: this is extremely popular with the fairer sex)

Bang & Olufsen - how many cars out there have a premium audio system that performs for you before the sound comes on? (no, I am not talking about a tacky multi-colored graphical equalizer on a Kenwood head unit)

All of these are unspoken intangibles currently enjoyed immensely by 6'er owners that go way beyond the spec sheets and price comparisons. We are talking about the emotional impact your beloved 6'er will have on you before, during and after each drive. The answer is obvious for the 5% diff.

Disclaimer: None of these matter if there is a daily need to transport more than two persons. You are stuck with the GC.
Sorry, but I don't really understand this, surely you can get all these options on a GC also? Or is it different in the U.S.??

Yes you surely can but they are not in the GC config that the OP is contemplating, hence the dilemma of seats versus options.

My comment will only be of interest to those like me, in their sixties. The GC roofline is an inch higher than the coupe. That doesn't sound like much but it certainly makes getting in and out easier for those of who are losing their athleticism!

I find the GC much better in this respect than the 645Ci it replaced. It is also considerably smoother and quieter - until you stomp on those twin turbos!
