Bigger tires on stock 343 rims

Anyone doing this? I want to go up a size (305) in the rear, I assume people have done this, wondering if there are any issues? It seems logical to up the fronts to 275's as well. Any problems running Michelins on the stock 20" rims with this set up?

Plenty of people running 305s in the rear, even 315.
I have the wheel and tire coverage from BMW NA, so I have to stick to stock tire sizes. Or else I would totally go 305 rear.

305 on rear and 275 on front. No issue as long as you are running on M6 343M rims and not M5 343M

Why do you say that as I'm gonna replace all mine soon and want to up the fronts to give more rim protection.

I have heard that increasing the foot print of the fronts creates very heavy steering due to the added grip. I have just ordered up new PSS 265/305 setup myself.

changes the steering dynamic. personally I like how heavy the feel is with 265's.

Anyone running 305s on the CP 601m, how do they fit on the 10.5 rim and do they offer better traction.

601M have the same offset of 343M so basically it should be fine.
As far as traction, 305 tires have much better traction/grip in straight line but on corners they change the dynamic of car significantly.. you won't have that much fun in MDM mode either

Thanks for that

Don't want to mess it up as I am finding it's a very capable car , mdm is perfect for me as it is and surprised at the slip it allows.Just had the power upgrade and suspension tune put into it,it really is an excellent ride for a heavy car.
