So what would you do? "14" or "15"

So I'm on a tight budget and I'm going to purchase a M6GC. I can get a 2014 MGGC with less than 10000 miles for $81.5k or a 2015 build date after July with very minor bumper damage that dealer said they would fix for $87k with 14k miles.
I like white. Both have the same packages: comp, drivers assistance, B&O, and executive.
The 2014 is white, the 2015 is black... The damage is very minute. Won't hit car fax. It's a scrape like a shopping cart hit it or something.

ANY ADVICE??? T.I.A.

I guess my bigger question is... Is there any big difference between the two years?

Not really. Perhaps touch screen idrive knob in the 2015. Same S63Tu engine. 2016 is the LCI. New-ish headlights. Shinier gloss black NBT screen. To answer your question, no major big difference between 2014 vs 2015. Go for the one with your choice of interior; make sure it's full merino leather. You can always wrap the exterior to some other color of your choice.

The warranty and free maintenance is an issue, you have to decide if saving $6,500 is worth up to one less year of warranty/maintenance.
What are the in service dates?

Thanks for your advice I had almost bought a 2014 for $74K a few weeks ago, but right before I pulled the trigger I heard on this forum that the only way to go is FULL leather. The other car was only extended leather. Both of these choices are FULL leather. Thanks again

The white 2014 has a build date of 2013-08-13 and the 2015 black has a build date of 2014-06-13. Glad I looked at this... makes me what the 2014 even more. I thought the black M6 had a build date after July 2014.

Thanks for the reassurance. I'm leaning that way

Will do, luckily I caught an issue that the dealership did not disclose on the white car. That's the hold up. If you look at the photo, on the far right there is a scrape instead of normal creases from wear and tear.

Build date and inservice date are different...the inservice date is what you want, it's when the clock starts ticking on warranty/service plans.

Ah, I didn't check that. How would I find that out? Would BMW dealership provide this info?
I was thinking build date due to the build after 07/14 option of adding 25 HP

My seat was showing the same wear(scuffs) at about 10,000 miles. The dealer replaced it at 15,000 miles under warranty. The creases are normal for leather.

So I bought the 2014 with the scuff on the seat. Can you tell what you said to the dealer to have him replace it? They wouldn't replace at Perillo BMW is Chicago but I'm going to try here in Charlotte BMW

I bought my M6 at Perillo BMW as well. I love my car, but their service and professionalism are horrible. I regret not going to the dealership and personally inspecting the car. All my transactions were done online and via FedEx. A friend inspected the car before I bought it and it was flawless. When I received the car, the seats had scuff marks. Looks like a sand paper went through it. They refused to acknowledged that the damaged was caused by one of their guys. Took it to BMW NA, filed a complaint. Finally, after 6 weeks, manager offered a resolution. But it was very frustrating and a horrible experience.

I didn't buy it from Perillo. The dealership I bought it from took there for a PPI and to see about getting the seat fixed as I caught it on some before hand pics that were sent to me.
Looks like I might have to go through BMW NA as well
