Still isn't THAT different from the 5 though.
Is there anyway someone can do a side by side comparison of the 6 gran coupe to the 5 series to see if it is worth 30 to 40 grand?

Now I know photo comparison of the 6er GC, Merc CLS and the A7 is coming... but please make us a photo comparison of the 6er GC and 6er Coupe. I am having trouble knowing the difference between them other than the 2 extra doors and the third brake light

Just read jalponik, haha dumbfucks they are fussing over a sill

You mean massive body roll, a steering system that is not connected to the front wheels, and the engine note played through the speaker system?!?!?!?!

That is one ugly car. Only the interior looks nice. But I really don't see the purpose of this car on the market. Nor do I see the purpose of any "4-door coupes" by any maker.

The 4-door coupe concept only really works when you make a bold statement like the CLS. The CLS really has road presence, it catches your eye. Otherwise if the car has a conservative design, why even bother?

It's one of BMW's best efforts in a long time. In essance it's a squashed 5 series with the 6er front grafted on and a wow interior.

6 GC / A7 poll here
http://www.6post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=622168

PS: I totally agree with the above comments, it looks way too sedan-ish, unlike its competitors... The profile should have looked like the CS Concept which had an unmistakably coupé silhouette.

Here is how it might have looked with a more stretched roofline:

Positives: it's a much better design than A7 or CLS Merc. So for that market I think BMW is offering a good thing. Great car, but it'll cost a fortune! And hopefully that customers are fooled into forgetting the ...

...Negative: it's not REALLY a coupe, it's profile reminds a lot of the F30 3 series.

I think BMW should have risked it and made car impractical and beautiful - as long as people in back don't hit the ceiling with heads, it would have worked.

Absolutely stunning

Apart from the typically garish interior of a bmw launch vehicle, this is beautiful. I can see this definitely taking sales from the CLS and A7 (and 7 series in some instances for that matter).

The only thing missing now is a supercar, an M8 with an S engine onboard!

CSL looks like a toy next to this, impressive imo!
