The very first f13 I drove was DCT- I was just ecstatic to finally get a BMW let alone an m6 (coming from a Yaris). In 26 years of life- I never had a performance vehicle- however I decided it was best to invest my money when I first started making serious cash, than get a nice car, so it took a little longer than I wanted to. Anyways- I test drove the DCT first, and LOVED it. But around the same time- a 6 speed manual became available on swapalease. So when I took over it, the first time I drove it, maybe because I don't have much experience with these kind of vehicles- it was "love at first drive" (little learning curve on the clutch power shifting but still ok) I am definitely not taking anything away from the DCT- if I had any intention of tracking the car, I would go that route- however, this is for my daily driving purpose, nothing more. Mods will probably only stick to exterior (wheels, drop, and exhaust) What's your position at NA? I'd definitely prefer to take my vehicle for any service to someone who knows the vehicle.

The M5 30th Anniversary car is a bit faster than the normal M5 with the Competition package setup (stiffer bushings, steering colume, diff, suspension etc). Keep in mind you are now comparing a 400hp car to a 600hp car with 200 more horsepower dispute the weight difference. The M5 also had wider tires which is a more balance car than the coupes. Ask any BMW Race car drive and they will let you know that the sedans feel more balanced at the track than the coupes. As for being .2 seconds slower are you that amazed by that? There is alot of things that come to place when you are comparing times on a circuit with 2 different cars from tires, weather condition, etc.

One thing on the side note, I can assure you than more than 75-80% owners of an M5 or M6 DO NOT know how to drive nor put it in the correct full potential M Mode settings to get the full experience in what it can really do. As for my position for BMW I prefer not to say before it gets me another flag on Bimmerpost

and please keep in mind M6 Coupe is over 500 lb lighter than any of those cars (B6 /B7/750).... The reason I brought M5 jahre because that car is much heavier than M6 Coupe which is subject to your original post (M6 Coupe is boaty) so basically M5 jahre with 600 HP has almost the same power to weight ratio of M6 and you cannot call it boaty. Speaking about racetrack as you know better than me, power is one thing and chassis is another thing. one example is base 911 with only 350 HP but faster than M4 with over 470 HP (real world number not BMW underrated numbers) because of chassis and the fact of rear weight bias (thanks to rear mounted engine). So no I don't buy it that M5 30 jahre was just 0.2 second slower because of 200 more horse power. Also as I mentioned the driver had no experience behind the wheel of M5 while had 6 months experience behind the wheel of his own M4. M6 on the other hand (as you know) has better tuned suspension compare to M5 and has lower center of gravity (thanks to CF roof) and also wider track. I bet M6 coupe will be much closer to M3/M4 on any race track. My point is that " M6 is not a boaty slow car at all". Is a nimble car and to me is a very well balanced car. I admit it's not a track oriented car but it's still a powerful M car can be driven in race track.

I would hate to have that job, they must get so many people calling to find out about their car production all the time. I know I called a million times on the last order.

I don't barrage the customer service specialist daily...yet. Only Did it Monday and Friday (automated every day though). They seem pretty nice though. I held a good 5 minute conversation with the guy on Friday. He said he had been there for a while and it's the first time he's ever seen an M6 with my specific build, and how blessed I was. I did tell him we did a search on it (my ca and I)and so far- it is the only F13 in the America (and the world since the U.S. Is the only country who gets MT) like it, so definitely pretty cool!
