Is this your video? If so, which grilles did you use for this install? The ones you refer to on the youtube for purchase have the blank spot for the M emblem. I am trying to get ones without like you installed. Thanks!

You have to get the AutoTechnic ones:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-DUAL-SLA...lWFtEV&vxp=mtr

I believe they're the only double slat ones I've seen without the 'M' badge. The cheaper chinese ones all have it. Be prepared to have cuts on your arms. I've replaced grills on numerous different BMW's and the F06,F12,etc have been the hardest to get to.

I have the same ones Auto tecknic. If you are not saving the old ones like i didn't just use a saw and cut the slates on old and install took 10 minutes. After cutting all the slates the trim pops right out.

Just finished adding mine. Getting the side and top clips off were very easy. I then just pulled each grille really hard as the bottom clips were impossible to get to. Has anybody been able to actually get to the bottom ones??

Regardless, in both cases, one of the 3 clips broke. The same clip actually on each of the grilles. All good though as I can just super glue them back on if I ever need to install the grilles. Really happy with how they turned out!

Awesome, looks great! Yea I got the bottom ones loose on the video car. I rocked the top out and squeezed my hand in there. Wasn't fun, but he wanted to keep the originals

I agree, this was the hardest grill to replace in comparison to my previous cars (e46 & e90).

I did manage to keep all tabs in tact on the old grill somehow even though i was furiously pulling on it at one point because nothing else worked!

If you can do an F15, I think you can do any BMW. But I'll see how it goes on my wife's 6-series.

I kept all the tabs intact, but one of the bars came off in my hand! It doesn't matter how many videos you watch, you are going to lose a lot of skin changing these grills!

So... all tabs on the grill are in tact, on the left grill opening I broke 2 of the bars that are on the car. How frustrating! Had to really pry them out. Oh well, will post up pics tomorrow in the daylight. 1st mod done after a week ownership.

Loving the ride!

Great vid and still valid I swapped mine out in 45 min, loosening the 3 on top and 2 on sides will allow you to pull top of grill out and get to the bottom three, you do have to give it a good yank.. I was skeptical, but got it done. I found it easier to pull both out before installing the black ones. 1st MOD done!

I took mine out last weekend because I wanted to have the chrome border wrapped gloss back leaving the slats chrome. They are difficult to get out and wearing thin nitrile type gloves is recommended. Thin enough to get your fingers in but thick enough to offer some protection. As described you need to loosen the nose cone top fixings to get as much flex in the nose cone panel as you can

The top 3 clips are easiest. Fingers or a screwdriver will unclip them and from there you need to hold the grills under pressure by wedging something in the gaps at the front to stop them springing back.

Next the two clips on the sides. You will need a long screwdriver. Keep the pressure by wedging something (I use trim removal wedges) behind the grill trim.

Now for the 3 clips on the bottom. These are the hardest. You need to pull the nose cone out as far as you can and from the top, reach round behind and then underneath the grill. Your middle finger will just about reach the first clip so push up to unclip it. Just two more to go and it's out.

The second grill is only marginally easier to remove because with the first out, you have clear access to one of the side clips. Sadly, all the other clips are just as hard to access.
