What did I think..
First thoughts were of total loss at the amount of information and buttons that there are since my last M car.. and I wasn't going to spend an hour reading up on it, which would eat into my driving time. Speed - ouch, highly deceptive, often found myself in areas that could cause trouble and often backing off.. heads up very useful. Talking Heads up, vastly improved since my E60, very clear. The noise.. could be better (as I've read) may have to tinker with the exhaust. Driving position - perfect.. took a little getting used to from the X3, but sitting in a 420, that seemed to be even lower. I loved it.. and it got a lot of looks as well. Loved the white.. but have decided to stick with Grey, think the white is a little bit too much 'Look at me' whereas the grey perhaps a little subtler. People talk about the cabin feeling premium and special.. can't say I get that feel myself. The carbon trim, I felt was a bit too much, now considering dropping the carbon as I felt it made it feel cheap.. don't get me wrong, it was special, but not how I was expecting.. and I'm not adding full leather just to make it feel more special when Its already a special car. Outrageously fast, I've never driven a BMW that fish tails in 3rd as I'm going.. quite fun though Can't wait to get mine now.. its going to sit in the dealer ship for 4-6 weeks before I take it.. argh.. |

Yea we do try , I have had no real problems dirt wise on the 343M alloys on the M5, I use that Armorall wheel guard, it really works IF you get the wheels absolutely cleaned first.
STD Brakes for me are good enough as I use the gears ALL the time to slow down.
