In one word "yes" brilliant all rounder with some crazy deals that are not going to disappear anytime soon owing the car being overpriced in the 1st place compared against Audi A7 / Merc CLS etc

Here in the UK the 640d makes the most sense in the real world, with petrol versions being vary rare, i think the 650is have been sold in dozens only

I have an F13, and yes, I would, and probably will buy a GC next. My kids are getting bigger, and the rear space is getting cramped. While GC is also not very generous when it comes to rear accommodation, it is adequate.

As per the previous poster, the car is a bargain, especially in a used market.

only had my f06 for a few weeks but I could definitely imagine buying it again in a couple years when I change. I normally can't imagine having the same car for more than a couple years but if I change to an m6 or something, I would definitely get a GC again. I wish mine had all the current toys from the new G series cars but hopefully if the 6 doesn't get killed off, then it's replacement will be highly specced I hope, and available at a similar bargain on the used market. We can dream I suppose.

Nope
Had it,enjoyed it And ready for something much smaller. The GC is very long and a bit sluggish, and that was/were probably my two biggest complaints. Does not make it a bad car!

Ps, the best looking car I have ever owned!

Agree with him ....
Never had it but to me is too big and too heavy.
If I want a big 4 door car, 750 is my choice BUT M6GC is different story.

It's strange, GC doesnt feel big at all to me. Ok I like big cars but this feels no bigger to me than my f10 which also wasn't big feeling.

thanks, lads. love the feedback!! the biggest downside thus far (limited responses so far i realise) seems to be centred on size (actual or perceived) and not quality of build or lack of reliability; this is very positive so far. thanks!

I love my GC and it is by far the best all round car I have had. The space is fine inside and so comfortable to drive and gives others quite a shock with its turn of speed

Only downside is that whilst I find the size fine on the move, our works car park has tiny spaces so it is too big for them (length).

Because you asked if people buy it again or no.
Those who buy will buy because of look and quality and reliability ... It's a great car (I love Coupe BTW). Those who won't buy said the reasons and the most important one is the size ...

Although 6 er is more sporty than any F10 (except M5) but the reality is that GC is bigger and heavier than F10 and if you don't feel bigger than F10, it means GC is made for you. You will enjoy this car every single moment.

Notice that the people complaining of size are European. The GC is just fine in the states. Maybe not so much in city life or European parking garages.

No. It sucked here in Chicago too

Had my 640 GC for 2 months now and overall love it and would buy it again without hesitation. To me, after the I8, it's the sleekest looking BMW, especially the M6 version. I love that it looks big in person, kind of like a ballers sports car. It's very small inside though and only slightly more practical than a coupe. I don't feel it as sluggish at all, in fact I think it handles great. Maybe it's because my last car was a 5-GT which was a tank.

My only gripe about the GC is that because I am 6' tall, and keep the seat pretty much all the way back, the pillar between the front and rear door sits forward of where I have the seat back, making getting in a bit uncomfortable. At 2-door car has the pillar farther back obviously. As for the rear seat, with grown kids, I think I've had someone in the back seat only once or twice.

im 5'10", so seat doesn't go that far back but had 4 adults in the car today for the first time. All comfortable and couldn't believe how much room there was. I still believe it's almost the perfect car for a blend of sportiness and practicality.

I would have another one without a single doubt.

It's a brilliant car with everything, comfort, superior interior compared to f30 and quick enough to entertain.

However I won't order one next tine.

I got one initially as I thought the internal of the f30 was bland and not very luxurious. The 6 was perfect. The only problem is it's size. In the UK the parking spaces are tiny compared to USA.. I dread going into the city!!!

I just wish I could get a smaller version with the same interior.. But you cant seem to get luxury without size.

I may go for a Alpina x3d to make it a little different, but would have another 6 without hesitation

Two recommendations
1. See if your dealer can find an exec car. You get a loaded GC with very few miles and a great deal on the lease
2. Consider a used one

Unfortunately the one other thing about the GC that nobody has really mentioned is the depreciation. It is pretty brutal.

Wait.. a 3rd one...
If adaptive drive is avail, and you are ordering, get it.

That's true, but great for us used buyers - £76k list car, 2 years old, for £27k? You can't beat how much car you get for your money

My deal was clearly an example of #1. I got a current year LOADED GC with < 7k miles for about $500/mo less on a lease than leasing a new vehicle.

Seems like you've already made up your mind regarding the purchase. The F06 chassis is definitely a head turner and if you don't have a family or maybe 1 kid like I do, you're fine. It's a car that is marketed for the professional that wants a sports car with 4 doors and usable backseats. You're paying for the looks and sports car feel. What you're sacrificing is roominess inside (it's tight for a large car, I'm 5'9" and my head is about 3" from the headliner), storage compartments, a manual closing trunk, crappy rear view camera, a seat belt that requires a longer reach than other chassis so if you're a senior or heavily overweight, I can't see that being comfortable everyday. For such a high priced car, you'll get much less than other BMW models such as a 7 series or 5 series. Luckily, my wife has a X5 so we're still able to do our Home Depot run and transport family. I bought mine based on looks (...and it's been my dream car for the past few years) and basically made the purchase before even checking out the backseat. Just things to consider.
