How can you tell it's a CP?
I'm actively searching for a used M6 GC. I want a competition package car.
Now I know the easiest way is to look for 601M wheels. But I have seen and I was able to build CP optioned cars online with 343m wheel (both black and silver). Is there any other way to spot a CP car, such as tail pipes, etc? It's really tedious decoding every car with 343 wheels and looking for 7MA code. Edit: I suppose black 343s are more likely to be CPs? Noticed you can't option silver 343s with CP online

totally worth it for the CP! The diff/springs/anti roll and suspension makes a world of diff on a 4k car. Makes the car way aggressive and capable of handling it's heft in the corners. I will not buy a M product unless its CP

Yeah, I'm starting to look at the exhaust tips. Definitely easier way to tell.

Generally, from what I've seen on the E9X M3, the suspension tuning can be subtlety felt, depending on how you drive it and if you're the type that can discern such differences. On the M6, it's more than EDC software tuning as it was on the M3, as they added stiffer sway bars and stiffer springs The extra HP will be impossible to tell as all the gains are on the very top of the revs. I'm pretty sure the CP exhaust itself sounds different and I know anytime you change the steering feel, it'll be noticible. At the end of the day, I'm going after a CP car. I know the difference of a CP and standard M6 on the street is immaterial. But I don't care. How many ZCP/CP cars actually go to the track anyways? It's just a way for BMW to sell a differentiated product.

Look at tips is the easiest way to go but be careful there is a small amount of M6 have the M exhaust without carbon fiber tips so it also looks chrome from outside. The best way is still VIN

I'm starting to see all the OEM wheels on CP cars. I also see 433 wheels as well, which is odd, b/c you can't build a CP with 433 online today.
