More help with M6 GC
Need some more help with M6GC options:
1. Sapphire Black or Carbon Black (if available)? The reason I am going dark is because unfortunately I have to be less conspicuous. You know, "stealth wealth"... 2. For some reason I like 343Ms better too (PackerFan!), and again I guess they are less conspicuous as well. However, if I choose this option, will they be the same sized tires?!? Are the M6 coupe and GC 343M wheels different from the M5 or the same? If I got 343s Would I be sacrificing some of the added performance I would have gotten with the 433Ms? 2a. I have been advised not to "water down" my M6 GC, so would the 343M be a step down since the 433M are exclusive only to the GC? 343M is still "M5/M6" exclusive, right? Again, per above if the performance is the same then I'll feel better 3. Starting to think the Poplar Grey trim will "water down" the M6, though technically it is an option. But just not sure about the Carbon Fibre. Maybe bc I have a carbon fibre guitar (check out blackbird guitars!) and see that finish everyday. This decision is going to kill me... Thanks in advance guys for your awesome feedback. |

1) Obviously Sapphire black, you wont see as much scratches as if you pick Carbon black (by the way, carbon black looks blue in a sunny weather)
2) Yes same tire sizes, you can powder coat your rims later, as well as tint your windows and grills (you will have a batmobile style) 2a) 433M are exclusive only to the GC, but if you pay, you can get any wheels on any car! If you're buying gran coupe, go for 433M, will make your car look more stable, it's a big car, almost as big as 7 series. 3) A lot of people have wood in their cars, not a big deal! But carbon fiber is different, it screams that you have a serious sports car. I know carbon fiber is free for m cars, and piano black wood is a $1000 option, but if you compare two parts separately, carbon fiber is actually a lot more expensive than any wood. Good luck making a decision, it's an expensive car, don't want to screw this up. If I were to buy gran coupe, I'd personally pick metalic blue color, looks amazing if you tint windows and the grille. |

Wait, you're right, there is a bigger difference. Also the tires on your picture are not the performance tires my m6 came with?? A similar photo of my car is attached, with 343m wheels.

Here's the standard 650 GC wheel, looks more like that mystery wheel.

BTW on your color question, I own BMWs in both of those colors. I had the same thoughts. I owned a black Benz when we bought the Sapphire black BMW. The Sapphire black doesn't seem to show dirt/dust as quickly as a standard high gloss, non-metallic black. I live in SoCal and wash it weekly. On my white M6GC, I can get away with once every 2 weeks, but I usually do once a week because of brake dust on the wheels.

Between white and black, I'd always pick white. Doesn't get dirty as much as black, can't see any scratches on white, and also just a great looking color! Especially if you add some contrast like black rims, tinted windows, maybe carbon fiber spoiler. White is currently the most popular color in the world, and it is way more eye catching when you drive. |

I ordered my M6 GC with CP and stock 433 M wheels. I'm not a fan of the CP's 601 M wheels. IMHO the stock 433 M wheels looks much better on the GC and is more exclusive. But if you like the 343 M wheels more, go for them

I love the stock 433 wheels. I would stick with those or I can trade you + cash for my new 343's!! I have a M6 coupe so those wheels are not avail. The Comp wheels are horrible IMO..
Carbon Black - I do not like this color at all and have not seen ANY M6's in this color. It was cool when introduced on the E39 M5 but that was 14 years ago so pretty lame now IMO Between the two I would go Black Saphire although my Fav is San Marino Blue
