M6 F13 - Flaps permanently open ??

Hello everybody,

Why are the flaps on my M6 F13 permanently open?

In efficient modus, also in sport & sport plus modus.
I thought they always open in sport modus??

Can someone explain when the flaps open and when they are close?

Thanks so much & best regards from germany

They only fully open under wide open throttle above 3500-4k RPM from what I have read. They are never fully open. You can buy a product called Exhaustmeister that comes with a remote so you can open and close the valves whenever you want. I connected it to my home-link buttons on my mirror and the two buttons open and close the flaps. There is also a DIY using steel wire to tie them open if you check youtube.

I buyed a flapcontrol too an connected it. But it don't open or close the flaps when the engine is on.

Only when the ignition is on, i can open and close the flaps with the remote.

A zip tie works well too.

Is that just stopping it from closing or does it shut off the vacuum? It's hard to tell.

It's posted. Just click on it. You pretty much just hose clamp the hinge that controls the flap to open/close it at certain RPM. So you will have to manually pull the hinge and it will open the flap and then hose clamp it so it stays open. Gives you're exhaust a nice growl and deep sound at all RPMs.
