Which exhaust are you installing? I'm asking, because i have a chance to pick up a used Eisenmann Race exhaust, for a decent price, but I'm worried that it drones.

I am installing Meisterchaft GT. I have the Eisenmann Race now and the sound is beautiful but I am going for a more nasty raw sound with the GT exhaust.

I will be selling my Eisenmann Race but there is a buyer tentatively lined up.

The M6 performance is nuts. litreally.
Maybe on just a tune.
I've driven both recently. Weistec tune on CLS S 6.3 with down pipes and exhaust is a beast ! Their turbo upgrade puts down estimated 730 WHP.
I love M cars but hooked up AMG's are equally as powerful

Does the Eisenmann Race exhaust drone at all? Do you have any sound clips?

It might drone a little depending on what rpm the car is cruising at but it's minimal. These cars they are so well insulated that it's hard to be annoyed inside the cabin (windows rolled up) by any external noises (exhaust included).

I have clips of the car revving with catless downpipes. See below.

Holy shnikeys that sounds mean as hell...that's with full exhaust and catless down pipes correct? Sorry for hijacking the tread.

+1. These tests and reviews are a leading indicator for performance metrics, but are by no means infallible. Though the testing methods appear scientific because of the amount of criteria and data involved, they are more anecdotal than anything due to the high amount of involved variables. Data sets are subject to statistical fundamentals such as means, deviations, etc., which are rarely reported in these reviews. If my car was launched by a professional driver on a prepped surface countless times, which is usually protocol, then I'm sure the resulting data would be impressive.

3.5 is (too) generous and not repeatable in regular environmental conditions IMO.

No it probably is not, but who really cares?
4 seconds, 3 seconds, 4.5 seconds it's just a"blink of an eye", so are we going to all line up at every traffic light and blast away....................NO.

I'm a performance-minded automobile enthusiast, so I care; hence my response. If you are categorizing 3, 4, and 4.5 0-60 second cars together, and broadly quantifying the experience as a "blink of an eye", then you are firstly very out-of-place on this forum, and secondly blindly myopic to spirited driving. If you have an iota of performance driving experience, like inches in sports, tenths of seconds matter in driving. Your response added absolutely naught to this thread, except the fact you have been identified as a troll and are now consequently ignored.

I do agree 0-60 in 3.5 second is questionable! I just posted that info as a comparison between 3 cars (with the same method they did) and as I mentioned earlier, it was the only data I could find side by side 3 cars. I do believe that because of traction issue, all M5/M6 Coupr/M6 GC , CP or non CP cannot run 0-60 better than 3.6 - 3.7 second even in best condition with best drivers. Motor trend already reported 3.7 second for M5 CP and non CP. They also reported 0-60 in 3.9 second for M6 convertible.
Those videos are available on youtube.

I will know the final price on arrival in October. The estimate Mercedes provided is slightly above the s63 sedan price I am assuming the 160k range. I put the deposit down in March and chose all the options last month. I am scheduled to have the first one in the Midwest.

Can't wait to see which one is faster; however I know it's not a good comparison... S63 is more luxury than sport!

I just optioned one @ 185k, and that was without the ceramic brakes. Full loaded will overtake 200k...

I just saw the spec! 198.6" long, 4678lb weight! Such a big car!
5.8" longer and 400lb heavier than M6!

It's MB's attempt at the Bentley GT crowd/market, and I must say that I am impressed - the tech and performance surpass the BGT IMO.

With AWD and the monstrous torque figure, I'm hypothesizing 0-60 in 3.7-3.8 seconds...

My s63 coupe arrived in Baltimore last week. I am hoping it is released this week. Still no update from MB on price. My wife is not going to be happy if it is 180k +. I told her 160k. I hope you guys made an error
