New Guy!

Hey guys, this is my first post to the forums even though I've had an account for about 3 years now. I must've forgotten about it, but I've been an avid lurker here for years! Anyway, about 2 months ago I got into a 2014 Black Sapphire 650i Coupe with Vermilion Red Nappa, coming from a 535i. Admittedly, I was going to go for an M4, but the looks of the 6 just can not be beat, especially with those LED headlights . In my opinion, it is the prettiest car that BMW make. After about 3,300 miles, I'm ready to start modding her. I've got in my shopping cart from Turner Motorsport the black double slat kidney grills, painted front bumper reflectors, and the H&R sport spring set.

Questions before I purchase: Is there anything else you guys reccommend from Turner? Do I lose the adaptive suspension settings with the new springs? If so, how's the ride? And is there anything that you'd do differently?

I'd love to hear what this great community thinks about it all. Thanks in advance, y'all!

You will not loose the adaptive suspension if you are lowering it with H&R spring.

Doesn't answer your question but have you had it coded yet?
IMHO first, easiest and best thing to do.
It's the simple things that make our complicated, First World lives better.

Welcome

Completely agree about the 6 series looks, the new M4 looks cheap and flashy. The springs switch is the most cost effective mod with a huge return in visual appearance and comfort. (You are going to use the sport setting more often).
Congratulations, enjoy.

Congrats! Great start with the mods.

In my opinion the combination of the small exterior accents, lowering springs, and aggressively fitted wheels.. makes the BIGGEST difference in exterior aesthetics

I haven't! I'm not sure where I'd be able to get that done.

The M4 is absolutely mean looking, but the 6 is an a type of aggressive that just drips with sexy. Thanks!

The 6ers are definitely aggressive, just a little (read: a hell of a lot) more refined!

Congrats on the new car! I was in the same boat regarding the M4 and then checked out an Alpine white on red fully optioned 650 coupe at the dealer and went home with it! Check out Burger Tuning, the N63TU tuner that he sells for our cars completely transforms the performance! Also Dinan has the Shockware for the EDC suspension that I have read also completely transforms the suspension even if you do go with H&R's. I also did a muffler delete and the car sounds mean! For the coding check out this guys video on youtube and send him an email, he can do whatever you want from the coding options and sends you a spreadsheet and then a cable for the remote coding.

How gorgeous is that red interior? Just looking at it makes me smile. I'll definitely check out the performance parts, and I'll shoot an email to the coder! Thanks for the info, and congrats to you too on the car!
