Full LED Headlights - Pictures

Just thought I'd put together a gallery of pictures related to the Full LED headlights.

This set of pics includes:
1. Daytime Running Lights
2. Normal Beams (with LED Fog Lights)
3. LED Front Turn Signals
4. LED Tail Lights
5. LED Rear Turn Signal
6. Side Turn Signal
7. Adaptive Headlights/Corner Illumination (before and after)
8. Normal Beams and High Beams on the road
9. Daytime (off)

*Note: Rear tail lights and side turn signals are standard, not part of Full LED package (just thought they fit with the photo set).

That's a great piece of work Southern6er!
Even the standard combination of Xenon/LED is very expressive, making the BMW stand out from other cars.

I have searched for a comparison between full LED and Xenon under equal conditions, but without success. Anybody?

Incredible Option!!!!

Once again, thanx Southern6er........ you have provided us with some great info and pics since your car arrived!!

I must say that anyone who has not ordered this option.... you are truly missing out on a groundbreaking technology. Last nite was our first night drive and it was soooooooo impressive. I have never seen such illumination and the fact they move when you corner and light up the direction of the turn, is an incredible safety improvement. The interior ambiance lighting is very pleasing as well. Estacit that we checked that option box!!

It seems the option groupings vary considerably from country to country. What you can get...what you can't...some things are stand alone (such is the Shadowline trim in the US !!) Here in Canada we ordered the Active Led Light Pkg 552 ($2900) but ................ in order to get that, BMW Canada insists you must "also order" the Technology Pkg ZBT ($4000)

Also..... xDrive only imported for Canada in the Coupes!! No stick for these cars so this became our 1st automatic we've ever owned!!!!!!! And we like it!!!!

Still mad that full LED was not available a year ago

The standard HIDs are still gorgeous indeed. I actually think I like how the halo rings and eye brow light strips stand out better on the HIDs than the aluminum strips they put in the LED headlights.

The only thing that is disappointing is the standard bulbs for the turn signals on the HiDs. Really BMW? 100K car with standard bulb turn signals unless you get the LED package? Regardless, I'm sure those long signal strips won't go unnoticed, even in fog, but that is just rediculous on BMWs part.

If you are right about the turn signals not being LED, there is i difference between the American and European versions. The following is from a comment I made on another thread.

My car is a vert of March production (2011) and is standard fitted with:

FRONT:

Xenon headlights
LED parking and position lights
LED turn signals
LED fog lights
LED daylight driving lights
Halogen light only: Adaptive curve light

REAR:

LED rear lights
LED turn signals
LED brake lights
LED number plate lights
Ordinary bulb in the rear foglights

All info according to my Owners Manual.

Since appearance of the coupe, even the vert is optional with full LED, which is a completely different headlight housing.

Yup. On US models, the HID/Xenon headlights have standard bulb turn signals. I can see it with my own eyes on mine. The housing is clear, but I can see the amber bulbs behind it.

Negative... Not on the 6ers at least. The new 3ers are getting them, but as an option.
