Assurant is a back door insurer for places like car max, no direct public sales.

Thanks. Is there any advantage in going with BMW? Like easier processing or something? Also, anyone had experience with Endurance? They seem to be coming up as well..

I discussed extending my warranty with my service rep and he said some third party insurers won't pay M service prices dealer charges ($256 and hour). As for going bear, its a risk, I just had 3 warranty issues in 1.5 months, I am sure that would have cost what I paid for the full coverage, and I am still covered through October.

Carchex. Was formerly fidelity. Quality. I called a bunch of service managers at bmw and that was the consistent recommendation.

Usaa uses Assurant IIRC. You can buy it through USA.

Checked with CARCHEX. Quoted me $7700-$8500. Depending on 100-500 deductible and either 2 or 3yr bumper to bumper exclusionary. I think BMW was cheaper.

New member here, just caught this discussion. I recently purchased a warranty from Autopom which is exclusionary - it covers everything (electronics and modules, engine, turbo, trans, drivetrain, etc) except consumables and wear - a bumper-to-bumper policy. Price was $3567 for 4 years and 50k miles from current with a $100 deductible. So I'm covered until 2022 and 78k miles. They have an installment plan, so you can start with $360 and pay per month.

Hope this helps.

I’ll contact them tomorrow. I swear everyone gets a quote and then mine is either double that quote or they won’t cover an M6. I hope you guys are covered for an M6 and not a regular 6 series. Are their any reviews or experience with this “Autopom”.

Yup. M6's are covered. They'll ask for your VIN to confirm.
For reviews, Google is your friend.

Autopom is not the one who sells the warranty. They are just a broker. I had gotten a warranty through them from CARGUARD. I had them on my old M5 last year. They are not that good and have many exclusions if you read the fine print.

Also I did extensive research on them and noticed many reviews on m3post and range rover forums of how they only cover a portion and/or deny it openly. Their BBB reviews are are also not good.

Also my prorated refund was barely 1/3 the cost.

I would go with a warranty the dealership offers and or works with. Call around and ask around their is plenty.

I guess it would depend largely on the plan in question. They have a number of different plan levels with varying degrees of coverage. There are also protocols by which a claim is to be submitted, and if the rules weren't followed, then it doesn't surprise me that they might deny coverage. The company got a great rating on 'Top 10 Reviews' which I've found to be reliable on many other purchases. But you have gotten me to rethink the coverage until I look deeper.
