650ix GC Exhaust Valves
Hey Guys,
I would like to have the valves open all the time on the sport exhaust system (M Package) of a 2013 650ix GC. I already tried removing the pressure hose (this worked on older models) but it didn't work, same with my M135ix. Anyone has an idea how you could keep them always open (without damaging the system)? Thanks in advance! |

ExhaustMeister - Just ordered one for my car to see if it fits. It is a little controller that goes on the vacuum actuator and is controlled via a remote or via the the Homelink buttons on your mirror. pretty cool mod for under $150.00
I will post a review once I have it installed. |

Just wondering did you get any warning message by opening the flap? Feel any power loss or more gas consumption? How long have you had the zip tie on? Still holding up?
Thanks. Quote:

No warning message, no power loss or extra gas consumption that I notice beside a little louder at low speed. I believe that turbo engines are not subjected to decrease in torque with less exhaust back pressure at low rpm. If anything, it should be better. The exhaust flap's only purpose seems to be for noise control at low rpm. I had zip tie on for many months but I removed it because of my on going problem with drivetrain malfunction error. I will put it back on after I am sure that problem is no longer returning. Or, I will upgrade the whole exhaust system if I come across anything I like.

Anything else need to do other than just zip tie it to keep the flap opened? Did you also need to loosen the hose like I read from M3 forum?
