Downpipe on stock exhaust?

I have a 2012 bmw 640i m sport, wondering if anyone has ran just a downpipe with the stock m sport exhaust without buying a performance exhaust??

Yes, I did that with my F10 528, and currently with my wife's F15 X5.
Got a few customers doing the same too.
No harm to it.

Thanks man! What's the different with the m sport exhaust that comes factory and the m performance exhaust?

The M sport exhaust has black tips on otherwise stock exhaust setup. The M performance exhaust has different mufflers, chrome tips that have wider openings than the M sport tips, has a much better tone and burble, and is louder in a good way.

There are a few clips on youtube of f10 f12 f13 comparisons of sound of stock exhasut +downpipes vs just stock exhaust. Look it up.
