New Member Introduction '13 650xi Gran Coupe Msport

After some time away from the BMW Family, I am thrilled to be back and in a '13 650xi Gran Coupe. Found a great deal on a 1300mile dealership owner demo. $108k MSRP for $93.5k. Has pretty much everything except B&O:

Black Sapphire/Black Napa
Cold Weather
Driver Assistance
Luxury Seating
M Sport with 20"
Premium Sound
Soft Close
Ceramic Pkg
Full LED
Black Grilles

I am in love with this car. This is my 7th BMW and my favorite so far.

I notice from the pictures, the OE tires (at least the rears) have been replaced with what look like Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 2 all seasons. These are great tires, but since these are not run flat tires, what are you doing in case of an issue? Are you carrying a can of goo & compressor? Did you acquire a donut spare & jack set to carry in the trunk? Or are you going to wing it?

What did the dealer say about this?

Correct they are the PS2 A/S Tires. I'll wing it and call BMW Roadside or AAA if I get a flat. I've never had one so I hope the streak continues. Dealer doesn't care.

These are actually vinyl overlays that cover the blue portion of the emblems. I have had the black emblems before but they are not OEM and typically from China. By using an overlay you keep your OEM emblem. These are by far the best vinyl overlays I have ever used. The vinyl is super thin and will last for years without peeling according to the seller. I believe it after applying them. Everyone that has seen them think it is a new emblem, even up close. Order the "gloss black".

The PS2 A/S ride is a lot better than the run flats. Did you change the tires as soon as you got the car or did BMW do that for you? I did the same for my 550 and loved the ride. I'm expecting delivery of a 2014 GC next week. I would prefer the PS 2's.

I went and had the tires swapped myself after I took delivery. I sold the stock tires on eBay and it was about a wash financially. The ride is much better on the Michelin's, great tire.
