Talking 0-60 Times/Settings

Hello Everyone!

For the past two years I've been lurking around these forums waiting for the day I could join all your discussions as fellow M6 owner....that day is finally here!

I just picked up my M6 13 coupe (pics inbound) last week (stock for now), and had a few questions. Like I said, I've lurked this forum for a while and don't think I've ever seen a proper 0-60 time inquiry. So without further ado:

What is the best 0-60 time you have achieved? (time:.....)
How did you achieve it? (what mode MDM, DSC etc./what steering, springs, throttle, gear speed etc. settings/stock vs not-stock)

All responses are welcome!

PS: If any of you could give advice for how to get the best 0-60 time for STOCK I would really appreciate it! (btw I know the M6 isn`t a 0-60 time car, I`m just wondering)

Welcome

Congratulations for Your M6 - great car.
It's definitely not 0-60mph car but in some conditions it might be very fast.

First of all: i don't use launch control - it is rubbish and can do only good burnout... i always turn my traction control totally off and then just put the acceleration into the middle and "play with grip" after that - immediately put 2nd gear and full throttle It's hard to have repeatable 0-60 times in RWD cars this method, but my best was around 3.6seconds.
Here You have one of my vbox results (not best) which I've found:

Stock car, with competition package (575hp version)

The best 0-60 I have ever done is 3.6 second with Nitto NT05 305/30/20, 32psi air pressure... This is what I do:
Everything sport+ (suspension can be sport but I prefer sport+) S3 and DSC OFF. Do not floor it just modulate it to reach 4K RPM and then floor it. At 6500-7000 RPM shift it to second gear... One big mistake is to use D mode and floor it. This way the large amount of torque and wheel spinning causes the ECU to shift the gear early which reduce the transferred torque to rear wheels at second gear and increases the 0-60 time.

If you're lowered use comfort mode for the suspension the softer spring setting allows the rear to "dig" more on launches as the weight shifts to the rear and improves grip. In sport or sport plus the lowered suspension might not travel far enough and might affect traction.
