Thoughts on Demo Car??

So I'm writing because I found a very good deal on an m6 demo car, '13 model, but it has 1,000 miles on it already. Apparently it's used in shows and at publicity events and such. Thoughts? Should I stay away from this car? It's exact color combo and option package that I want, and a really good price...

Did it have its first service yet? Usually it's at 1200 miles.

Not to my knowledge. No service have been performed on this car.

I know launch control is locked until then so that is a good thing meaning nobody abused it. As far as how it was driven so far who knows but some of us break in our cars hard and some go by the book. You might be just fine with this purchase just make sure you get 10k off sticker at least.

Lease. Was gunna purchase, but then realized the deal would be worse because of the actual depreciation, and technically being a year model older, right?

Go for it! What harm could have been done? The M6 is built to be driven. Any damage would be visible.

Nothing wrong with a demo. I'd be looking for a VERY steep discount int he $15K range no question. There are plenty of deals out there on the 2013 cars with 0 miles that can be had at similar prices. I got $13K off of my 2013 M6 cab new 3 months ago before a lot of 2014 models were out.

Thanks for the info. I think I will end up just ordering a new one. I want the competition package, and I don't want anyone else's @$$ prints in my Sakhir orange seats haha. Plus then I can order the Frozen White, which I am considering. Think I can get any kind of discounts on a '14 car if I order it?

Probably going to end up with the same price. Do some research on the frozen colors and maintenance before you order one. Not saying not to get it just know what you are in for.

If anyone wants a SWEET2014 M6 comp. pkg that is already on the ground, let me know. I ordered two and decided to get a 991 instead. One has arrived at my dealer and the other is likely there this week.
