F13 AC Schnitzer Front Spoiler Kit

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
For those who are interested, I have completed the AC Schnitzer front spoiler kit installation this week.

The front grille arrived months ago and was installed then. The rest of the kit comprising of the front spoiler and the chromeline set only arrived last week. The front spoiler is painted to match the Citrin Black finish of the vehicle. The chromeline set complements the air intakes with a chrome surround to match the trim under the fog lamps.

The overall build quality of the kit is high and detailed. Materials used are solid and actually better than the adjacent parts that came with the vehicle. Note that this kit will only fit non M-Sport cars.

Attached pictures for your reference.

I really like the lip, the chromegrill not so much...
Keep on modding! 😊

Thanks for the feedback. I was on the fence with the grille too but it's part of the kit. Some like it and some say it clashes with the kidneys. Thankfully they are removable if I get tired of it. Tks.

+1. The grill pulls your eyes away from the headlights. The grid pattern doesn't really match anything. Spoiler looks great.

But the grid pattern grill is a bit too shiny I think.

Thanks. Will look into removing the grille to see how the kit does without it.

try matte clear plasti dip to matte out the shiny chrome. You can remove if you don't like it. I think it looks nice just a tad too bright.

BTW, I think you must love photography b/c shots are really nice with bokeh especially on AC badges!

Good suggestion but I have never used plasti dip. Is it something that one can DIY or do I need to take it to a workshop?

Photography is a hobby. Still learning to do the car justice. Glad you liked the photos.

Looks good! Bet it would look even better without the chrome grille, or blacked out

Plasti Dip is totally DIY. I already got all the cans for paint I want just waiting for time. You can peel it off if you are tired of it. Search Youtube for dip your car. They show how to do it on badges, wheel, and even whole car. They even show you how to peel it off.

Nice, I just started photography too mainly for my gf.

Thanks. I am thinking of treating it first with clear matte plasti dip and see how it looks in a brushed aluminium effect to match the shadow line. If it is still distracting, I will look into blacking it out with black plasti dip. Last resort, complete removal.

Kinda reluctant to remove at this stage as it cost me in excess of USD1700 to purchase and install. Will post more pics after the treatment. Keep the comments coming.

I think you should keep it as it is since the chrom grill makes the car more unique.
