As I expected. Nothing significant. Mostly changes to the inside of the head and taillights.

Not sure how the headlights and taillights can get any better, as I love mine the way they are.

+1. Changes will probably be as hard to pst as they were on the LCI M5. I still can't tell the difference between the pre and post LCI F10.

Aside from the front (light and fascia?) and rear (light?) minor changes, there's also a possible slight improvement to the motor and interior as well.

One article mentioned a touchpad, but the current version has it on the iDrive controller. Are they talking about another touchpad?

All that sounds like inaccurate information, the touchpad they speak of is the iDrive touchpad as you stated, seems the writer is oblivious as to it's existence. And as to the improvements to the engine, no real significant mechanical modifications should be in place, that never happens for an LCI on and M. What they could possibly do is offer the competition package as standard. I also expect some kind of interior improvement, nothing specifically pertaining to the ergonomics or aesthetics, but something like a new digital instrument cluster for example.

Got it. 3.5 months to ordering, so I'll wait, regardless of the less-than-earth shattering updates.

Smart man. At this point, with the LCI so close, you might as well just wait it out.

New M5 SPECS

Not sure how true this article is but wondering if the new M6 going to have the same upgrades to the engine.

Agreed. My 08 M5 is the LCI and the only main differences were the headlights, taillights and some interior changes/button placements on the console.

They removed the yellow amber on the side, so it was all clear, upgraded the angel eyes and added cornering lights. The rear tails had LED horizontal stripes. Pre-LCI owners loved the change so much, many Pre-LCI owners upgraded their heads and tails to the new look. It was definitely a big upgrade.

I'm in!! The dealer told me around April for start of the 2016 MY build. Do you have any input on this? (That would make it a June-July 2015 delivery). And the wait begins...

Thanks in advance!

I was told ordering could be as soon as December, but definitely January for a March/April delivery. This was from Crevier BMW in Orange County, CA.

For MY15, F13 start of production was 03/14 with an end of production of 02/15.

Is it just me, or are those headlights the same "L" design seen in 7 series spy shots and some concept cars

The dealer told me it is most likely the "L" design for the 2016 M6 LCI front headlights.

Correction, start of production will be 3/15. Read what you just stated about end of prod for MY15 which is 2/15. They don't start prod of a new model until the previous one ends. Your CA was just throwing a number out there without any real hard evidence to back it. He must be new.

They announced more torque for x5m and x6m 4.4tt by changes to the induction system so might see that carry over not that it needs anymore.

Same engine, though. It'd make sense for BMW to apply those changes on other cars that use that engine to amortize the R&D costs of the F85 and F86.
