Creaky Seats when cornering

Sprayed the whole underneath with PTFE and will see if that eliminates it but I'm not hopeful so may be booking it into the dealer under the BMW approved used warranty.

Anyone else experienced this?

I bought a can of this: http://www.halfords.com/motoring/eng...ubricant-250ml

Put the seat position as high as it would go and literally used about half a can. First with the straw getting right up inside the side bolsters on the seat base. Then without the straw I sprayed everything underneath thoroughly from the underside of the seat, the runners, any nuts and bolts and all the plastics and bits underneath. Next I moved the seat forward and did the same thing from the rear. Then I put the seat back forward as you do to access the back and with the straw I sprayed into the gaps at the bottom and to the side where the seat back meets the base.

Left it all for an hour or so and then did it again. Literally swamped the whole lot in PTFE. Cornering creak is now gone.

If you have the seat all the way to the bottom it will squeak, try lifting a bit, that eliminated my squeaks

Yeah I read that somewhere else but didn't make any difference for me. PTFE spray has totally cured it though.

But doesn't your car now smell like a mechanic's shop?

Lol! Funny you should say that. It did for about a week but the smell is now gone (thankfully).

I used silicone lube. It's not greasy and didn't leave any odor in my car.
