Resonator delete with Megan or factory mufflers?
Hey fellas, and ladies if applicable, I am trying to see if anyone has removed the rear resonator on a 650i gran coupe. I noticed the M6 has none and I definitely DO NOT want to run the straight pipe thanks to the advice of many. Been thinking about his for a minute. Any experience is appreciated

Well, went ahead and removed that rear resonator with the Megan Mufflers and when I tell you the exhaust note changes drastically. Only when on hard acceleration does she really scream. No drone and even inside the cabin you can’t really notice the difference. However outside totally different sound. Very happy with this setup. I will be posting some vids this weekend on my IG account @thesolution357because uploading pics and vids is... well you can see them there if interested.

Not sure completely, however I was referring to the section in the rear right before the mufflers. Based on the exhaust that came off a stock M6 versus looking at the exhaust that comes off a stock 650i, there is clearly a difference. I am still new to the BMW scene and haven’t really examined the entire M6 setup, but there is a definite difference in the two, and removing that section and replace with two individual pipes changed the sound of the 650 with a much noticeable and pleasant improvement.

Given how my AMG only has a resonator delete, I don't see the purpose in any other exhaust mods. Just a res delete simply makes it sound 100x better. Why would you drop 1k on a performance exhaust when you can nearly replicate the sound with a res delete & styled exhaust tips
