I've carried fix-a-flat in my trunk for every modern BMW I've owned and never had a problem. Run flats are not worth the same risk of.getting a flat. They're a terribly designed tire.

I just bought a set of the PS4'$ and up'd the footprint to 305 rear and 285 fronts, the traction is WAY better but the road noise did not improve much over factory.

I have had a slight buzzing/vibrating sound on uneven pavement that appears to be coming from the plastic around the steering column. Its not constant by any means its sporadic which makes it very hard to track down. The new tires harmonics seem to have made this a bit worse.

I just got back from a 460 mile weekend getaway freeway driving and recorded the best fuel economy ever hitting 23mpg. Not sure if the tires helped but I am giving them some credit.

Mixed driving in Spain and France last year I achieved over 30 mpg...

The ratio of UK gallon to US gallon is 1.2 so basically 23 mpg (US) is equal to 27.6 mpg (UK)...

Agreed. The best I would get from M6 was 12-13 mpg on City, driving the way M6 is meant to be driven and a little more than 20 mpg (20-22) on highway driving like grandma

On my next tire change, I'm thinking of getting the mickey thompson tires ET street II because I heard good things about their grip performance and low noise. Of course, I'm not expecting longer tread life with this kind of high-performance tire.
