lease over. down sizing!! hope right decision

well is that time. i loved my 2014 m6 gc with competition and dinan. however need to down size a bit. and still need 4 doors just incase with family. so i just ordered the 2017 M3 competition package.. fully loaded.. i had E46 convertible before. i really looked hard at m4 but honestly the look of m3 with 20 inch wheels is just more aggressive and better to me at least...

My lease just ended on the 10th. I ended up buying mine out of lease. Couldn't let her go for $67k.

I am curious how much difference you observe in the ride quality, cabin noise etc of the m6 versus m3.

I can tell you the answer ... night and day... believe me I have enough seat times in both cars. M3 has only two superiorities over M6.
First the agility and second the price point. That's it
As far as ride quality and noise cabin, there are not even close...

Wow really?
Never been in an m3 but from the looks of it i always did think the interior looked nicer in the m6, but didnt really give much thought to ride quality.

I thought the m6 was a pretty hard ride even in comfort setting on stock suspension.
Good information thanks

my younger brother has the M3 and the ride is pretty damn rough and he has stock suspension. I do like the fender flares though..

Will second this and my M6 is the CP, far far better ride .A lot of cabin noise in M3, especially tyres and stones rattling up through the arch liners.Still a cracking car .

I had M3 convertible for 3 years. And pretty familiar with ride difference. This is going to be going to work car. Just need a just in case more back seat than m4. Downsizing. Problem is not too many options.
