So I had done close to 7k miles since I purchased the car and had yet to do anything stupid until yesterday I curbed the front and rear driver's side wheels. Both wheels now show minor curb rash, about 1 inch wide. I know it happens and luckily I have yet to switch out the stock wheels but I'm still a little mad at myself. I have never really had wheels repaired before so I'm wondering a) how repairable this damage is b) how long would it take to be repaired and c) what can I expect as far as cost? Anyone with experience please share. Here are some pictures of said damage. I apologize for the crappy quality, and the dirty wheels (it's been raining heavily for the past 3 days here):

IMO

Relax, shit happens. There is no structural damage so it's kind of easy to fix them. Now you are excused to chose any aftermarket wheel of your preference let the pillow take care of it. BTW yours is one of my favorites 6's.

Thanks, appreciate the compliment. I'll surely be looking into those HRE P101s a bit more now. But in the meantime I'll still get these repaired as long as the cost is reasonable. Was just a little mad since I'm usually extra careful not to do these things.

Very easy to fix. I fixed my 550 M Sport rims that got damaged when we shipped the car from Toronto. I used Lauderdale BMW and they look like new. They were a similar two tone as your rims. In total less than $900 to completely refinish both front rims. Took a few days.

$900? Ouch! Really hoping these don't run me that much.

When I was still driving my E92 M3 in Boston, I had a case of curb rash on my passengers side front and rear wheels that were both A LOT worse than what your showing here and, back then, my auto-shop (East Side Motoring) was able to help me fix both wheels perfectly at a rate of around $100-150 each (if I remember things correctly...).

These are easily removable with no doubt.
A friend of mine, had BMW dealer fixed all 4 rims. I remember he said $150 each and it took couple days.

shouldn't be that much since your rims aren't bad at all. mine needed to be totally redone. just wanted to give you a point of reference.

Most I have paid to repair curbed wheels is 100-120 per wheel. 150 per wheel is ok. Your damage is nothing.

That's a relief. For $900 I would've rathered trying my luck with a silver Sharpie.

If you do get BMW to repair them, I recommend you don't ever jet wash your wheels as it'll carve the repair putty straight out again. I found that out by accident when I was washing my X5 wheels. BMW obviously had them repaired before I bought the car and I found out the hard way.

Should be no more than $150 each wheel. Here in NJ, they even came to my house to fix a wheel I curbed a couple of years ago on a different car.

When I picked up my car there were two chips on the wheels. My local dealership charged $75 per wheel.

Got them fixed by the guy that does all the work for my local Ferrari dealer. Came out perfect and only cost me $80 per wheel.
