My free maintenance period ending soon

So my 650i GC's 4 year warranty is ending October 7th next month. The last free maintenance is at 4 years/50,000 miles. I am sure I will not have 50K miles then as I am around 47, 800 and do not daily drive my car. Question: Will BMW service still perform the 50K mile maintenance right at end of warranty? I know the engine oil change and front brakes are due then.

If you can get to within 1000 miles of the service before your free service expires, the dealership should do it for free.

Your idrive has to show the brakes need to be changed. They don't change that proactively.

I had my brakes done at 40K , they had grooves. The SA told me it was too early, the mechanic said they need to be changed. They got changed.

It all comes down to how many miles you drive per week over an 8 week average, the miles remaining generally has to be below 2,000 miles to perform any service.
However, if you drive, say 400 miles a week, then if it shows ~4,000 miles remaining, the service may be performed. it all depends.

As for the brakes, whether or not it says it's due if the brake pad material is below 4mm, they'll be replaced. so ask the SA to have the tech measure the remaining amount.

Furthermore, starting Oct 1st (today), the "bundling" that I mentioned in the beginning will no longer allow BMW to "pull ahead" brake jobs. so if you're at the facility and the pads measure 4.1mm, they won't be changed.

Lastly, there are many instances when the CBS for the brakes is incorrect and they aren't actually due. So if the car says they are due but the material is too thick, they won't be replaced but programmed to reflect a more realistic value of miles remaining. Very common on the F3X and F25's.

Thanks to all for your input. Came in at 48,000 miles and they went ahead and replaced engine oil/filter even though it was early with did not charge me.

As far as brakes, yes the CBS was wrong on my car and front brakes came out to 8.5 mm and they reset it to 15000 miles before being due.
