2014 650 Coupe Muffler Delete Sound
This is what I've done to my Alpine 650 coupe so far.. Muffler delete with dual staggered 3.5" tips done by Exhaust Pro over here in southern Cali, gloss black roof, white painted reflectors, tinted lights, BMW black grills.. I'm waiting on the open air intake that's being developed for these cars by Igor over on 5 post and then going with the Burger stage 1 tune!

Click the first picture, it's a sound clip. There is some drone at 2k rpm, it's not bad but the cool thing about this car is I can put it into comfort mode and put the shifter in normal drive and it keeps the rpms at around 1,500rpm and then it has no drone, once you're in sport or sport+ it keeps the rpms right around 2k and you can hear the drone, i kinda like it though. It has a really nice exhaust note now and is not too loud or anything, just sounds amazing with that twin turbo V8! I left the resonators on and only removed the rear mufflers. There are 2 vacuum lines that need to be plugged and also there are 2 grounding straps that need to be attached to the new piping. Exhaust Pro welded on a threaded boss for each side and screwed the strap in the same way it was on the OEM exhaust, really top notch professional work!

Thanks! I also saw your review on yelp for this shop. I think I might give them a try.

Just give them a call, they are easy to work with and I'm sure will give you a price/estimate over the phone. It all depends on whether you bring in tips or they have to custom make their own or order a set.

Thanks man! Everywhere I go someone asks how many thousands I spent on exhaust because of how exotic it sounds, I just say BMW did the work with the motor, I just removed the silencers!

I did it on my F12 650i, in my opinion it sounds to say the better too old school V8, tomorrow I'm going to install new set of mufflers and I'll let you know the results.

I would have to completely disagree with you here since I just sold my 2006 supercharged and cammed Saleen Extreme with long tube headers, no cats, and a full exhaust. That was old school V8, this car sounds nothing remotely close to it, I get an exotic deep and tuned V8 sound like you would hear from an Aston Martin or Maserati with exhaust is the closest I can compare the sound to.

I put in the N63TU JB last night and went for a few pulls.. The car pulls like a freight train to redline now! Before the JB I felt like I was losing some power up top as the car had great low end and midrange power but now it's like a whole new animal! I launched the car at about 2k rpm form a stand still and it will now light up the tires all through 1st gear and turn on the DSC if I let it, it didn't before. The low end and midrange are both much stronger and the top end doesn't feel like it's running out of air, power is linear and smooth and best of all, no codes or any issues whatsoever, just pure performance and power!! Thanks Terry and BMS!

Couple of new pics of the 6 with ESM-004 20x10 rears, 20x8.5 fronts. Waiting on the BMW center caps. Also if any of you want to know i weighed the stock 373M's with RFT's and they are 65lbs each rear and 63.4lbs front. With the new wheels I shaved off 42lbs total in rotational mass which would be close to 170lbs off the car.

^nice car but for some reason the wheels don't look right on the car, probably would look better if they were bigger but in general these wheels look better on the E90,E92 but that's just my opinion.

Thanks, and I know what you're saying, with an H&R drop and it would look even better, and I'm thinking getting a set. The rims are 20" and I have seen 22's on the F13 and it just doesn't look good to me so we just may be completely different in how we see wheels on cars. They fill the wheel well to the point that it just looks like it was not meant to fit in there, not to mention the additional weight, I'm not trying to slow my car down, I want to make it perform better. Check out this E63, same wheels but lowered. I love the aggressive look of the step lip and you can't go wrong with BBS LM styling IMO, I just didn't want to drop $5k on wheels for a leased car. I've had all the name brands and it always ends up the same in the end, the resale value is just stupid low, and I would have bought a used set but I realized that it's really hard to find the right wheels/offsets for the F13 in 20", they have a lot out there for the low offset M's.
