Steering wheel upgrade Facelift

Can someone help me with steering wheel options. I have the pre facelift chunky wheel and im wanting to swop in the newer version. Will a wheel from any donor car fit? Also im hoping for the heated wheel do i have the option to code that in once installed?

Its just plug and play no coding needed but make sure you get the right wheel i bought one from ebay for 600$ with airbag and it was very easy to install any shop can install it for you and you are good to go 👍👍

Series 5 and series 7 2014 steering wheels are the same as the 6ers.

But even 2nd hand on eBay they seem to be asking around the £700 mark (and rather oddly all seem to come from either Lithuania or Latvia - stolen cars being broken up I wonder?). But anyway, as much as I fancy one myself, I can't quite justify spending that much at the moment.

You will need one complete with shifter paddles and airbag.

For the lesser BMW cars, 2014 steering wheels are cheaper and though they look the same and often sellers claim they fit all BMW marques, if you look closely they are smaller and so won't fit 6ers properly.

No need to take it somewhere to have one fitted. You can do it yourself. Easy Peasy. See how here;

Haha
I've been looking on eBay for months and every wheel I've seen is Latvia...... I've found a website that's doing them for 600 euros but that's sodding latvia as well so stayed clear

Dealer quoted 1,400 fitted for the new wheel

And another 2 grand for retro fitting the reverse camera mines missing

Got a love the dealership markup !!

Rufus 123; You can get an aftermarket reversing camera control system that integrates with the iDrive just like OEM but with a small fixed camera fitted in the number plate recess. Not as cool as the OEM camera popping out from behind the BMW boot emblem James Bond styley, but good enough. Still not cheap at £625 but worth having fitted.

Rufus 123; http://www.fit4caraudio.co.uk/index.shtml His name is Billy Mann, nice guy and he comes out to your home to fit it. Mine was the first 6er he had done back in February last year and he said it was a lot more difficult than he had expected. Includes 2 year warranty

Dandanbmw; My car is Carbon Black Metallic. I love the way the colour changes depending on the light
