Smile Brake pad recommendations

My 640i coupe front pads are about to expired. I will go with slotted drilled rotors just like any of my currently own vehicles. I just love the look of them. Even thou my wheels are 20s, brake dusts still exist but not as much as my old 535i. Did any of you experience other pads beside oem? Any feedback would be appreciate.

akebono. They produce way less dust, and the dust they produce is grey and does not stick to rims as much.

It is ceramic right? Does it sacrifice a lot of braking power?

yes they are ceramic. I do not notice much difference. Maybe they're not quite as good as stock, but very close. Easy decision to replace them in my mind. If you brake aggressively you will generate lots of dust which makes a mess. If you drive more relaxed then the difference in performance is negligible. Either way you don't have acid eating into your finish. Ideally you just wash your wheels every day or once a week, but that's not me.

I installed Akebono for my uncle 750 Li F02 and he loves it. He told me that he felt no different from the OEM but with no dust. I will try the red stuff on my little brother F30 328i.
