I am sure bigger metropolitan Canadian cities see the same issues and road rage incidents! These issues likely not isolated to us in North America! Something to think about ... Peace ... Good night! |

This is crazy, glad you and your gf are safe.
I would suggest you to install a Dash camera, just in case. I have a non-M red convertible and sometimes I notice people in pick trucks try to drive very close with that dirty hater look on their face. I just avoid looking at them, change my lane, speed up or slow down. |

Sucks. Glad you're OK. Had this happened to me in TX, dude would be dead. I love being able to carry a gun because of idiots like this.

I had my shiny new M6 in Germany and Austria, and I had been told they have a problem with unprovoked vandalism to nice cars over there -- but I only had smiles, compliments from parking lot attendants, and friendly questions at gas stations. I try to share some of the awe at the car with them, and not act like I'm snobbish. So far that's worked. I'm prepared for haters someday, once I have the car at home), but so far so good.

Same Experience here Bro ... I think taking the high road and remembering our roots in Mom and Dad shit boxes when we grew up ... stay humble and not snobbish ... and not looking for a confrontation! Be nice and approachable, within reason, to those who are in Awe! I am not afraid of guns ... 16 years Service in the Canadian Military and education paid for ... when dealing with CRAZY people, escalation of the situation is not the answer! Trouble can find you FAST! Then there is the question, what are you wiling to retaliate with, and is it worth having loved ones hurt, lose your ride or worse yet your life! All of us have made it if we can afford these rides ... we have something between the ears .. and I hope a little restraint prevails as there are many more amazing rides and success over the next horizon! Peace!

I totally get the self defense legal stance, but is it worth going to that extent? Just my humble thoughts Bro ... no offence intended!

I'm not sure where I stand on this. CA strict gun laws vs TX freedom.
I own a few guns and I love them, but shooting or even pointing these at another person other than in video games is something I can't fathom unless my life was in imminent danger. Too many cowards and psychos with guns nowadays. It does make me consider though, what if by some unlucky chance I were to be threatened by one of these crazies, I'd hate to have nothing but sticks and stones to defend myself. |

Kidding!!! Definitely a very interesting thing to think about ... I too have Pondered it (the gun thing not the sedatives) But if we all are packin ... Where do we end, where do we draw the line re to draw or not to draw ... Hate to take a pistol to a machine gun fight Perhaps we are getting off topic now as the discussions carry on Main thing is our brother and his gal are alive ... With a few scratches on an otherwise nice ride Be well brothers! Hope no one comes across a road ragged driver packing heat! Or have to start pondering the rules of engagement!!! I leave you with hopes of peace ... And sorry for having dragged this discussion a little off the topic of our cars, which has drawn us together on this post Last edited by 2007 to 2016 M6 Cab; 10-09-2015 at 10:17 PM.. |

this is when a dash cam becomes useful. I have two installed in my car, one in the front and one in the rear windshield and I always scare off scumbags that try to harass me when they find out their on camera.

My car is still in the shop waiting for my slow insurance to do final approval. Hope to have it back this week. Haven't heard from the officer assigned to my case since I met him, but these things take a long time to process.
I am most definitely getting the front and rear dashcams installed after I get my car back. I was planning on it from the beginning, but I procrastinated. I will not be lazy anymore. |

Damn, I was pretty shocked to read this story and would have been even more so if I hadn't just seen this story:
http://www.corvetteblogger.com/2015/...rage-incident/ http://gtspirit.com/2015/10/20/musta...rage-incident/ I am starting to think that with everything going on in the United States these days, there is more likelihood that you are going to get a gun pulled on you in a confrontation. This is why I am glad that I bought a dash cam for my car. Hindsight being what it is in the OP's situation, I think I have learned to not get out of my car an instead I might have had my girlfriend start recording video of the perpetrator. If things got hairy I could then either outrun the lunatic or be able to get catch up to him with superior power and get a clear shot of his plate and then let him go. It seems we are starting to see more and more attacks on supercar owners these days.
