ECSTuning DID ME WRONG!!!! $$$$$$

ECSTuning DID ME WRONG!!!! After 15years, 3 BMW’s, and $$$$$. This is how it ends. Never doing business with them again!!!

Ok so,,,,
ECSTuning sent me wrong injectors. I ordered EU5 but they sent me EU6 and like a dumb ass I didn’t check before installing. Ran for about 300 miles with my CEL light on for lean code and after literally months of chasing my tail doing diagnostics and asking them questions (which made me buy a “LONG” list of sensors and more from them).
I decided to check all my new parts and make sure they were correct. Well that’s when I found out it all started with them sending me “wrong injectors”. This after. Ista injector check was done and told to them. (I needed EU5 not EU6)

So they won’t refund me (cause I installed them) even though it’s 90% their fault for sending me wrong part and 10% mine for trusting them and not checking part number. Some might say,, Probably other way around. LoL

So now I’m out $800 on literally brand new ECSTuning (EU6) injectors and a lot more on sensors. And now another $900 on buying the correct set from AutohausAz (btw is amazing) just sucks cause I only ordered from ECSTuning for military discount and no sales tax (saved 10%)

Just sucks balls!!!! I mean nothing!! just a NO!! Not even an option for store credit. Damn man I would have taken a 50% restock fee. . Which sucks but not even offered. Now I gotta try to sell them here or EBay uggggg!!! Omg!! Man are they quick to selling and even faster on denying refunds!!!!

Word to the wise ALWAYS EMAIL YOUR CHAT TRANSCRIPTS!!! They’re giving me the run around that their sales associate only applied military discount. I know from many orders they have to make a “new invoice” and then email me payment link.

FU€K MAN!!!! These guys are jokes!!! Even sent me broken parts that were used returns (Turbo exhaust clamps) and asked me to pay shipping back $20 for $30 parts. Who’s going to do that???

Anyways any suggestions??? Other than stay ways from them??? Haha

That is terrible. I am sincerely sorry to hear ya had to go through all that pain of troubleshooting and buying new parts. Baffling that they would not even meet you half way on the return or a store credit especially after being a consistent customer. Also, thank you for your service. I'd be interested to hear what branch and what your MOS or NEC is/was.

I have had really good luck with FCPEuro. I have had parts that I had taken out of the package and started to install only to discover they sent the wrong item. Thankfully it was a simple item, a the door lock/soft close assembly. I have had parts arrive late despite paying for expedited shipping as well. On both occasions they were quick to ship the new item, refunded my shipping costs and gave me a store credit as an apology.

I recently bought a Deka clutch pack for my DCT. I am at sea and dealt with the sales folks via live chat and email and I was not impressed with their customer service. I did have questions about a part and seriously hope they provided the right answer.

I found this at the top of my google search after looking to see if other folks have had similar issues.

Yeah NOTHING!!! I’ve never had these kinda problems from a parts order. Not from FCPEuro or AutoHausAZ. But whatever!!!! I’m over it. Just sucks ballz!!! Just can’t go to casino this month. Hahaha!!!

As far as Military I was USAF… AFSC:2A673 Egress systems. Worked only on 1 air frame the whole time. U-2 spy plane. And I guess SR-71 for about 6 months when they reactivated it for a bit… so there’s that memory….

Yeah dont EVER rely on them for advice. Best to just put the work in and do the research yourself. I just got lazy cause I was soooo used to my last BMW. (E39 M5). Now that was a car!!!! Never let me down!! Might have been drama queen (all BMWs) but always ran strong and never broke down. Shit man I ran from Vegas to Phoenix with an upper radiator crack/leak and never over heated once even with AC on. Hahaha

But this F12 M6 omg completely different beast!!! Gotta love turbo induction… but with Ista (laptop) super easy to work on. Well laid out engine for working on but soooo many lines to move first to get to engine…. And with 3 generations of BMWs so far I got like every tool you can think of for them!!!

Anyways thanks for lending your ear…. After 4 hours chatting/waiting and 2 days of emails. They dropped me like a bag of dog shite… hahaha

I think most of us are reasonable when it comes to things breaking but when you have trusted advisors that are folks you do business with and they break the trust bond, that is almost always an unrepairable situation. Everything has a meantime before failure except trust, at least in my book. The pilots that flew those aircraft you worked on had to trust the maintainers. Sure they preflight, the 10% ownership checking the part, but they relied very heavily upon that trust, the remaining 90%.

Both of those aircraft were/are true engineering marvels; I definitely envy your proximity/access to them. I am not a pilot but I ab absolutely enjoy aircraft even flying commercial still has a little sparkle to it. That said, the U2 and SR71 are wonderfully mystical aircraft in my book. Even more than the more modern stealth aircraft.

Wishing you much success.

If you paid for this with a credit/debit card you can file a charge back with your card provider to get your money back. Check into it soon, as there is a timeframe within which you must start the claim process.
