Well its happening, im sure they will also include a V12, but either with turbo chargers will pretty much eliminate the sound of a NA engine

I have been in all the AMG models, except the new S Coupe and CLA, and the M6 interior, from a quality and ergonomic perspective, is just better than the AMG's. And every comparison article I have read about the M6, and any AMG, also comes to the same conclusion. I have also been in Porsche's, Astons, Audi's and Ferrari's, so I had personal experience with a large pool of top notch and exclusive cars upon which I based my opinion -- maybe someone who can only afford a 335i does not quite have the breath of experience to venture such a contrary opinion.

Honestly he has to be joking. The suggestion is laughable. Those AMG center consoles, infotainment area, and control section look like they belong in a pickup truck of some sort. Putting them side by side with the M6 makes them look even more dated.

Both are nice, but I agree, our M6's have a fantastic interior. I like it more than AMG and Audi for the following reasons and more: The way it is catered to us, the driver, size of the NAV screen, feel and look of the Merino leather... it is stellar.
Everyone has their opinions...

Current BMW interiors are better than the MB AMG interiors. But with the new SClass design DNA making it around, AMG might catch up. But hopefully BMW will unveil an upgraded interior DNA with the 7 launch.

Also love that V12 but man they are pricey, the dealer here in TO wanted 200k for the Rapide S and was not even thinking of budging. I would have loved the V12 but I love the ///M stealth and tech a little too much combined with all the luxury amenities would be hard to give up on BMW.

I love the seats in the new S class, but the center stack doesn't do it for me at all.... it isn't driver focused, like our 6's. JMO

I have a several friends that currently own and DB9 (2009) and vantage V8 (2009) with auto gearboxes .
The DB9 is on it's second gearbox with only 36k on the clock , the V8 is on it's 3rd with 54k on the clock . This year they are moving away from Aston ownership due to constant faults with there cars , there wife's own an X5 and X6 from new and haven't had any issues with them. I hate to say this , but owning several British built cars in the past like jags and tvr, you need a good roadside membership . I still have a TVR and when I use it, I carry a full toolbox in the boot ! Astons look great but you can't beat the Germans for reliability . |

You are talking about preferences regarding car interiors. And his opinion isn't valid because you have a more expensive car? Faaantastic. |

Never said his opinion was not valid, just that he may not have the breath of experience to offer a full opinion. Since I fortunately have the financial resources to purchase a six-figure car, and have actually driven a range of other six-figure cars, I have a very good personal knowledge of the ergonomics of these cars and how it actually affects the whole driving experience. That is a completely different experience than someone whose only experience with these cars might be from sitting in them at a car show, or looking at them via online pictures, or in a magazine. If you own, or are in the market for a standard 3-Series (not an M car), you typically are not spending any length of time with six-figure cars, otherwise those would likely be the cars you would be buying and driving. That is why I questioned his opinion as not being fully informed.
