Buying M6!

I can't believe it. Went into my BMW dealer today to look at 650i grand coupe as a hold over until I can get the i8. It was very nice, but not inspiring. Somehow I ended up in an M6 convertible. That was it! Finalizing the purchase right now. Will post pics.

I've never owned a BMW much less an M before. Wow.

You've never had a BMW or an ///M? Boy are you in for a treat. Make sure to sit down with a tech, one that knows WTF he is talking about, and have him explain the M settings to you and how to set up the car to your liking. I'll venture as far as to say you won't let the M6 go for the i8 when the time comes.

Congrats! Love he 650 GranCoupe, but the M6 is a step above. Test drove one, it's almost too beastly for the road

Thanks, everyone. I brought it home. San Marina Blue w/Silver. Absolutely stunning.

When I drove the 650i GC I was smiling. When I drive the M6, I know I have a stupid grin the entire time. What a car.

650i GC is great but Ms are just at another level. You're gonna have a lot of fun. Welcome, and any questions you may have about the car, don't hesitate to ask, any of the members here would be happy to help.

Thanks again for the warm welcome. Here's my first question. On my current car, an XJR, the front driver's seat will automatically move back when the ignition is turned off to ease the ingress and egress of the driver a little. When the ignition is turned on, the seat moves to a preset. Is there anything like that on the M6?

The wheel moves upwards but the seat does not move.

It must be the difference between buying the car that was fundamentally designed for old men (XJR) and driving a true sports car (M). If you drive an M, you're supposed to be flexible.
