any idea when is the next 6er/m6 is coming out?

Correct me if I'm wrong the current Generation 6er was debuted with the 5er so aren't we suppose to expect the next 6er with the 5er this summer?

^^^^I believe it will be next fall with a model year 2017 designation.

The M6 will most likely lag the introduction of the new G-series 6 by a couple years.

I would guess spring or fall of 2017 with a 2018 designation for non m6.

It would be odd for them to have an LCI model for less than two years.

Good question
It makes sense if 2018 is the last year of F12/F13 production since a 7 years period of producing this chassis will end in 2018. F06 was produced months later so basically the first or second quarter of 2019 makes sense too...

If the above dates are true, I will for sure be moving away from the 6 series before next model release.

But I have a feeling the new model will come out sooner. Between the abysmal sales, and the very minor LCI, I would guess this chassis will only be around 6 years.

We just picked up a new 2016 7 this week, the 2016 6 feels completely outdated compared to it, in both technology and luxury. Considering the 5 gets updated next year, it would be a mistake to wait 3 more years to update the 6.

both assumptions make sense but I guess even if a new 6 series comes out it won't be too much different comparing to the current ones (may be more on the technology but not appearance) in my opinion.

They were posted elsewhere on the forums along with all other BMW model schedules. I was about to post a similar thread, because I'm looking to get into an M6 GC at EOP (similar to how I bought my current E92 in 2013) and was curious if there was any more solid info.

Hopefully someone can confirm or deny.
