Alpina B6 on ADV.1 // TAG Motorsports

An Alpina B6 is for the truly discerning driver who desires the uncommonly stylish. This B6 is gorgeously appointed inside and out and we knew we would have our work cut out for us when it came to matching the elegance of the car to a new set of wheels. Some of you may recognize this particular B6 from our gallery, these wheels were originally finished in Brushed Manbronze to play off of the car's Cognac interior but this combination didn't suit the owner's taste and it was back to the drawing board. The first attempt overshot its mark by a hair, just a little too flashy for this owner's goals but these ADV10.0 MV2 SL in their natural Brushed Finish hits it right on the head!

2016 Alpina B6
-21" ADV10.0 MV2 SL in Brushed Finish
-245/35/20 & 285/30/20 Pirelli PZero Tires

Looks great - I see those are 21" wheels with 285/30 profile tire on the rear - is the car lowered or is that stock suspension? I would expect to see a 25 profile on the rear of a 21"wheel.

This B6 is on its stock suspension. The 245/35 and 285/30 is actually the same fitment as the OEM 21" option and it works perfectly here.

how different is the B6 stock suspension height v. the 650ix gc msport suspension height? This sounds like a much better option that lowering a 650 and cramming 21's into the wheel well with a 25 series tire on the rear. should be no worse of a ride than the 20" oem option for the 650.

what are the wheel widths you are using on this car?

The B6's ride height isn't too different compared to an xDrive 650i Gran Coupe M Sport, both sit higher than a lot of the lowered 6 series that I believe you're referring to. I agree with you that the 35 profile tire is a better option because it maintains the proper overall diameter and will give a better ride than a 25 series tire.

I believe the widths for this set were 9" front and 10.5" rear.
